Guderian's Duck
So how about it?
Battlefront.com
Still nothing new graphically. Some great animations, but they make for uninteresting screenshots. You know, like a mortar team loading an invisible round into an invisible mortar, or a Javelin team firing an invisible missile at an invisible tank.x There is also the "block tank" that has opening hatches and what not, but really is a big 3D rectangle with a 3D square on top with a pipe for a gun. Great stuff, but not exactly graphically ready for prime time Steve
Salkin
Well if nothing else we got a semi juicy bone . Or does this qualify as a bone ? //Salkin

M1A1TC
Are you using motion capture?
MikeyD
Well, If we're really really hard-up for BFC screenshots we can always go to the Drop Team site and look at the latest screenshots of that game, imagining what it would be like with an M1A2 Abrams in the terrain instead of a... um... M7 Thor?
flammenwerfer
I wonder if Spring 2006 is still on track?
Pvt. Ryan
Yes, there will be a Spring 2006, but don't expect the game before the end of the year.

MikeyD
About showing stills of animations, i wouldn't mind at all seeing 'how the sausage gets made' for CMx2. Half the fun of those movie DVDs out there are the 'making of' mini-documentaries. I would be interested to see montage photos of a scrawny unshaven programmer hunched over a computer set up on a folding card table, duct tape covering a crack in the window as a Maine blizzard howls outside.
gibsonm
Well I hope its your “Spring 2006” (in a few months) rather than ours (starting in September).
Battlefront.com
We're still shooting for Spring, but not the beginning of it. Never intended that. Hint... when a publisher says "summer" they mean August. When they say winter they mean March. If they say 2006 they mean December and not January. That's just the way it goes From a development standpoint things are going pretty much according to schedule. We always planned on the neato graphic stuff being put in last. It's the RIGHT way to do game development. Now, that's not how most publishers do things. Then again, most games suck. Connect the dots to find out why Steve

lucero1148
Somehow a documentary movie of bfc at work wouldn't actually excite me that much unless of course there were half a dozen nubile pretty interns serving coffee or snapping whips to keep them on their toes. Hehe!
lucero1148
BTW on the products page of games in development why isn't CMSF on the list as well?
gibsonm
And besides it would mean that at least someone was “documenting” the process rather than actually working on getting the game out! Stop this “mission creep” with requests for bones etc. and let the guys get on with it for #^%^$’s sake. BTW: Only 6 days until Steve Jobs potentially moves the goal posts again for you!
MikeyD
I think those 'games in development' on BFC's main site only appear when there's a dedicated website up that's associated with each game. And before that happens they need at least some content for the site (a.k.a. pretty pictures). Two alpha screenshots do not a website make.
