MrSpkr Posted December 22, 2003 Share Posted December 22, 2003 [serious]I just got word this weekend that my father, who has suffered from a myriad of illnesses, is going in for medical tests to determine whether they can manage to repair some damage to the veins supplying his heart (again) or whether it is truly time for him to prepare to shuffle off this mortal coil. Dad's survived Hodgkins, multiple bypass surgeries, and diabetes -- but this may get him. Essentially, the radiation treatment he received for Hodgkins back in the 1970s has so damaged the veins supplying his heart that further bypass surgeries may be futile. He is having tests done today to see what treatment might be possible. In any event, I will not be around for a few days, so if you have a game with me, be patient.
