GreenAsJade
Did you have a gentleman's agreement to not use Panthers or Tigers? Those would have evened the odds! Yes, no Panthers, Tigers or Fireflies. GaJ
Kanonier Reichmann
Elefants? That could have made a difference! Always read the fine print and if a flaw is found, exploit it! Great AAR by the way from both players and really appreciate you guys taking the time to do this in such detail. Going by the number of responses in the Peanut Gallery thread you can see they were very popular. Regards KR
GreenAsJade
Alas ... what a wonderful cunning plan, but: Elefants were not available to me as a selection for this battle (I'm not grog enough to know whether this is due to the date, or the Luftwaffe not having them at all, or just actually they weren't ready in the version of CMFI-GL that we were playing with!). Bil Hardenberger
Well I'm in the middle of reading this thread.. good god you lot spent a lot of time talking about driving tanks over walls Some interesting stuff in here GaJ.. the most interesting is the seeming confusion caused by my constant re-positioning of tanks at the beginning of the game... and the fact that you thought I was massing in the trees behind my mountain position on your right flank (thus calling in an artillery barrage there - at the time I thought it was off target).. actually I was using that treeline to hide my movement (unsuccessfully obviously) as I moved my teams into the valley. Interesting.. still reading.
GreenAsJade
Well I'm in the middle of reading this thread.. good god you lot spent a lot of time talking about driving tanks over walls Now you know the secret of how the Axis thread view count got ahead of the Allied one: tank wall crossing is a hot topic! Bil Hardenberger
Well that's a relief, I thought it was because I was boring. Actually, I was busy fighting the battle and could care less about the view count.. other than as a tool for Battlefront to drum up one or two more sales.

sburke
Best post of the whole AAR We never did resolve who the Shermen targeted first.
Alan8325
I just noticed from Bil's thread that the FJ weapons company includes a recoilless rifle platoon. Why did you take this out? Were they expensive? Is the effective range short enough that you might as well have just replaced them with shrek teams for better mobility?
Andrew H.
It would be interesting to see another AAR on this same map, but with different equipment.
