thanks, erwin! cheers, rob -
cool, i was just going to link you to it, but you beat me to it. believe it or not, i dont use any reshade or aftermarket shaders- just the alt-m, alt-r, and alt-w built into the game. oh- i do play my oosterbeek scenarios with the 'atmosphere' changed from 'haze' or 'thick haze' to clear. i hated the way 'boys against men' and 'king of oosterbeek' looked before i did that. cheers, rob

the mod i use for british airborne is called 'dm's british, canadian, polish para" and as i mentioned it even has some of the proper rank insignia for the polish paras, and also for the canadians.
-
for brit/commonwealth/ polish airborne, just the 'd.m.' mod. haven't checked on the u.s. yet, too bad about the bergen, i couldn't believe i actually found the exact perfect one (that only i would even notice anyway, lol.

ok, for the british airborne it looks like i'm using 'dm's british, canadian, polish para' mod, which even appears to have appropriate national and rank insignia on the canadian and polish smocks. too bad no polish helmet eagle, but still cool. for the us i'm not sure at the moment, and my d-day m42's and market garden m-43's are mixing themselves up the last time i played us airborne, so i have to straighten those out. oh- and here.... i found a 3d model that is actually the proper wwii brit bergen. not sure if it will work for cmbn use, but here's the link. https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/1944-pattern-british-commando-bergen-267246b197424c2abc963207c622aba6.

i'm glad you like them- just spending a lot of time in oosterbeek, trying to find new 'camera' angles. wish i could get some arnhem/oosterbeek maps modded to look more like the actual town, but the master of realistic immersive late-war city mods and maps is otherwise occupied. -

this is also an exception to my 'haze sucks' rule(lol) - it feels oppressive here, like storm weather, and it works. cheers, rob -

one tip i can give for 'better looking' screenshots is in scenarios with weather set to 'haze' or 'heavy haze' change it to 'clear'. 'haze' really sucks the life out of the 'look' of the game. probably not a good idea to change any visibility or other parameters if playing a human opponent, though, lol. cheers, rob -

wow, thanks, erwin! no manipulation, just straight screenshots. i do have pretty comprehensive modpacks for each game to pretty things up a bit, but i don't even use any 'shaders' other than 'alt-m' , alt-w, and alt-r. thanks again, i just wander the battlefields with my virtual contax i , leica iiia, and combat graflex snapping what i see. it's a good thing i can do that, 'cause i'm crap at things like actually /playing/ the game, lol. cheers, rob -

'digby' tatham-warter, of arnhem umbrella fame, was full named 'alison digby tatham-warter', so i guess it's been for a while. also, the alison aircraft engine was a v-12, as seen on the p-40 and the early p-51 mustangs. cheers, rob

great tactic, but the inspiration is 'the untouchables', s. connery to be exact. cheers, rob -
here is more what the m43 at holland in mg would have looked like in action. the picture is of a 'bastogne' figure, but its what was worn by the 101st and 82 in mg, too. cheers, rob
