  1. When I was a PFC at the US military language school 12 years ago there was a Danish officer I knew who looked like Brock Samson from the Venture Brothers cartoon. I posted an image if you've never seen the show (which is hilarious BTW). Dude was an absolute badass and we all knew it. There was also an American Green Beret warrant officer who used to go to the coffee shop around the same time I did everyday who had a permanent 5 o'clock shadow and longish hair that was completely out of regulation. Nobody said **** to him about it.
  2. Yeah, an American man in his 20s in 2022 who cosplays as an SS soldier throws up all kinds of red flags.
  3. When we're talking about the 1st SS Panzer Division, yes we do. The Waffen SS was an integral part of the Nazis' racist and genocidal warmongering. I am deeply, deeply suspicious of anyone who makes a hobby of dressing up like these guys (especially if you are an American, which this guy's accent tells me he is). The Military History Visualized guy has made dozens of videos about the WW2 German military but never felt the need to dress up as an SS soldier while doing so.
  4. If you are still unsure of what to focus on for the CMFI battle pack may I make a suggestion? I would like to see it focused on some of the Allied nations who aren't very well represented. Most of the game's stock scenarios are either the US or British armies. The Brazilians, French, Canadians, and Indians only have 2 each I believe. The New Zealanders only have one (very small) scenario. I would love for the focus to be on these guys. Other than that, thanks for making a great product and providing me with hours of entertainment.
  5. That is all incredibly wrong. Ukraine isn't massing for an attack of the eastern territories and Crimea which were illegally stolen from them in 2014 by the original Russian invasion. Russia has gathered over 100,000 soldiers on the border and are the ones who initiated and continued this crisis.
  6. Yeah, I’ve already replayed it and progressed in the campaign. I hunted down the German HQ and got enough points to win. First time I played it I just secured the park and didn’t advance any further. I’m really enjoying the campaign BTW.
  7. Scoring is a little rough on mission 3. I had like 4 killed 6 wounded, and took the park & bunkers and got a draw and couldn't progress in the campaign.
  8. At least you only lost two. In my game those P-47 pilots were really gunning for the AAA and killed every single one of my flak vehicles and lost no aircraft. They didn't go for the tanks or grenadiers at all.
  9. I don’t believe so. AFAIK you don’t get any air support/an air controller in the first two missions.
  10. That mission is kinda broken. There is no Soviet air controller to call in the two SU27s you have for air support.
  11. So I don't know what the issue is but after completing the mission 7 "The Rat Catchers" with a total victory the next mission fails to load. It loads up to about 78% and then the game crashes to the desktop.
  12. Idk if this is a bug or not but the update and module deleted all the user created scenarios and campaigns from my copy of CMRT. None of the updates/modules for the other games ever did this. It's not a huge deal as I can find most of them again but just wanted to put it out there. Other than that, great job!
  13. Unlike Ukraine the Baltic states are NATO members and a Russian attack on them would trigger Article 5.
  14. I'll buy anything you guys make. Your games are probably my favorite games of all time.
  15. Russia blaming Ukraine for provocation after invading Donbass and annexing Crimea is some Orwellian ****.
  16. You're Ukrainian? Stay safe dude. I truly hope nothing happens, though my I&W senses are tingling off the charts about this.
  17. If you want good Indian food in the US go to New Jersey. There is a large Indian population in North Jersey and the Indian food there is great. Also, strangely enough the best Indian food I've ever had was in South Korea. There is a restaurant in a side alley in Pyeongtaek, ROK (the closest city to the US bases Camp Humphreys and Osan AFB) run by an Indian immigrant family that made absolutely delicious food. I'm from NJ so I was used to getting good Indian food but that place blew me away. Back on topic somewhat I bought CMBN for my first CM game simply because it had the most content (both official and fan made). Over the next couple of years I slowly bought the remaining games.
  18. So, early 30s? Me too bro. I have actually convinced a couple other NCOs in my unit to start playing the game with me but it was easy because they both already played tabletop wargames.
  19. For me it was the Close Combat games. I played all of them when I was younger and liked them immensely. I always wondered what they would be like in a 3D engine and with competent AI and then in 2017 I found CMBN and my questions were answered. I only wish that CM had the same kind of operational level game that Close Combat does but the tactical combat blows CC out of the water.
  20. How I recon with AFVs: set up overwatch with a couple squads of infantry (preferably a command unit with a radio) then send the AFV fast out in the open to draw fire and hope it doesn't die.
  21. Really? I'll just assume you're not being sarcastic. It was a highly anticipated game by the makers of The Witcher games which was released in December in a laughably unfinished state. It's gone through a few rounds of patches that kind of fixed it up a bit and while it's not groundbreaking or anything the setting and story are very well done. Really scratching that sci-fi itch I've had lately.
