  1. Not for nothing, I told my men to run on the causeway and they didn't obey. It's a bug. Speaking of bugs, can we PLEASE fix this absolutely ridiculous conscript bogging problem????????????????????? My sherman didn't even move 1m before bogging on dry ground right where it started. This is also a bug. Nobody in the world can tell me this is realistic behavior. Edit: Barely a minute later, look what happens again. Lol this is a joke.
  2. Try setting waypoints through the vineyard, instead of on both sides. That should fix it. Your men will naturally try to take the path of least resistance, so the vineyards probably slow/tire them down quite a bit.
  3. The breach teams should be able to move at a walking pace ahead of your men and they will detect minefields on their own. I always do it this way, and my engineers seem to take less casualties (Only if I'm negligent with my engineers) than regular troops, but not too sure about this. Moving your breach team 2 tiles a turn seems effective to me.
  4. Lmfao I just tested this with tanks on top of Monte Cassino, and the javelins went straight into the mountain about 1-200m height and disappeared. They impacted the ground, but from the inside of the mountain.
  5. I found it to be good overall. Delays are nothing new to us by now. We have enough content as it is. Quality of life improvments would be seriously appreciated by any owner of a Battlefront game. I'm looking at you Multiplayer. It was good to hear that CM Pro has taken a back seat for the consumers, either way the regular CM features will trickle into Pro.
  6. Glantz's books are so friggen good. Very well written, not hard to understand at all. They are a scenario designer's dream. They aren't the best overall picture, since you are overwhelmed with accurate information about units specifically. House does a fantastic job of putting everything into perspective. Glantz is a precision tool best fit for CM, and House is best for learning overall. Together they make learning about history super enjoyable. I highly recommend digging through any and everything offered online by these guys. Anton Joly's book looks really really good too, but I find him and Glantz conflict sometimes. I can't remember specifically but I remember wanting to rip my hair out when I was researching for my Stalingrad campaign. The "WWII History Round Table" Channel on Youtube has these guys come on and do speeches every now and then. I've watched them all, and I'm pretty disappointed there isn't more. Specifically their WW2 HRT (History Round Table) series. I could have sworn I saw one about Kursk, but that might have been in Glantz's WW2 Myths speech. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP_QaNU5Uys Once I have the money I'm buying everything Glantz has written. They are great books. I suggest buying directly from his website. http://www.glantzbooks.com/
  7. H.I. Sutton just dropped a new video. He didn't reference the Kerch bridge at all but he did recognize those mystery boats we have previously seen as "Explosive Uncrewed Surface Vessels" Food for thought.
  8. The wind is pushing those little fragments? No way. The cars would be flying off the bridge first. Those fragments have little to no surface area if theyre solid. What else could they be? Thermite chunks? I'd believe it then.
  9. Something interesting to note in this video is how everything in that explosion is directed toward the left of the frame. Look at all the molten pieces of whatever flying to the left. Nothing is flying to the right.
  10. Wouldnt a thermobaric bomb have a small delay after delivery and before exploding? I'm unsure if there are different types, but I'm referencing a fuel-air explosion.
  11. If it was a missile it must have been something pretty advanced, I imagine "dumb" ordinance would have smashed right through the bridge and into the water before it exploded, considering the velocity it was carrying. If it exploded on impact the road would have been totally annihilated. I didn't see chunks of asphalt all over the road. The footbridge in Kiev for instance was completely covered with it. I didn't know they had missiles with airburst tech, that's something new to consider. The Russians would've seen a missile coming in by radar, no? Unless they're lying, or a new stealthy missile has been developed. Which would totally make sense given the advancements in AA. But then again, do they have an ablative coating that can survive a high velocity missile flying for that long in the lower atmosphere? In that case a stealthy cruise missile makes the most sense to me.
  12. In my experience yes Abrams will spot and shoot first. It will take multiple hits to the front except on the top hull or the gun mantlet. So you really don't want to mess with them. My advice is never look directly at them. If you try the scenario "First Clash" you will quickly learn that the Russians have nothing to fight Abrams with. Even Kornet teams will typically get outspotted especially after they fire. My advice is to fight Abrams as close of a range as you possibly can, minimizing ATGM flight time (Unless firing from the flank.. but even then expect to immediately run or lose your team), and maximizing rpg accuracy. Suck the Americans in close (With a false sense of security) and fight them there. Usually towns are the best for this, hiding infantry in the 2nd or even the 3rd line of houses. Keyhole all of your forces, so you minimize the effectiveness of armored platoons in their ability to immediately counterattack you with cannon fire. Absolutely nothing in the Russian inventory stands a chance. If your opponent is good not even T-90AM will be able to kill their Abrams tanks. Open hatches are a waste of time. Up close your commanders get killed by infantry. Far away and your commander won't be able to see as well as he can with his swiveling commanders periscope. There might be a sweet spot at around 3-500m, but the usefulness of this is extremely limited. When you keep your hatches open that's just another couple seconds your crew will waste in targeting, since they need to button up before firing. You really don't want that. In the WW2 titles fine, but in this age vehicles can turn their turrets VERY quickly and kill you just as quick.
  13. God I hate this scenario Chi, do you not use Reshade? It will clean up the jagged edges on the MTLB's quite nicely with little to no performance hit.
  14. Ah thanks, we have been teased with this for far too long
  15. Damn we are waiting on this map still. And @Macisle hasn't logged on since March.
  16. Exactly, that is why I prefer "Extreme" at the most.
  17. I remember hearing that CMRT is supposed to simulate telephone lines since that's how the soviets used to communicate. I read they worked pretty quickly immediately after artillery barrages to restore communications in Stalingrad, so I wouldn't doubt they were using them en masse by 1944.
  18. And this is exactly why I'm signing up ASAP.
  19. I don't ever remember being able to overwrite save files. As @QuiGon said, it will pretend to save and won't. This is strictly from memory, I haven't had an issue with my games because I don't screw around. If you're unsure then just bump the numbers up, who cares. The best thing you can do is keep your incoming and outgoing email, and saved games folders clean and backed up.
  20. Honestly I can't recall ever seeing a javelin miss. And even if the Russians had APS, I don't think Arena can defend against javelin since it only has a range of 60 degrees from the ground (Or so). Itd be worth setting up a very quick test scenario and see if it happens more
  21. LMAOOO He can't keep getting away with it. "Sam Hyde" He is an American comedian. He produced videos like this; which should remind you of someone who was recently permabanned from these forums.
  22. I dont think it was the truck. The truck was already driving UP the ramp when it exploded, but the damage was further back. I'm betting on a boat
  23. Don't tempt me in dropping Microsoft along with every other dog**** tech giant. Windows 10 is a heaping pile of dog ****. WORST OS EVER MADE.
