  1. An example; The Brazilians have a "Cavalry Troop" formation available from the first month they deploy till the end of the war. It is available in the editor for custom missions but you cannot select this formation for Quick Battles even if it is the correct month/region. I understand if Quick Battles are not very popular to play as or they aren't a priority for Battlefront. But I don't see the reason to exclude these formations from Quick Battles.
  2. Not sure why you can only use the infantry combat force with these nations in Quick Battles. If you go to their formations in the editor you can clearly see that both these countries use plenty of recon vehicles. You can't even have trucks as the Indians in quick battles. Is this unfinished? A bug? Or are these countries "relatively" too minor to add in their entirety to QB? I'd love to play a large scale battle as the Indians with combined arms tactics instead of a horde of Infantry and artillery.
  3. Yeah alot of modders have gone dark. VEIN had some pretty awesome uniform mods. They only have half of them on the warehouse. Anybody have his US uniforms or Russian?

  5. I totally understand that there's no promises and that development can hit all sorts of snags. I'd survive if it got delayed even more but what I'd like to see is just a little more communication from the team maybe? A roadmap would've been nice. A weekly highlight of this TOE and a discussion on how to best use them. This also creates HYPE for the module release which would be better for sales. Not hearing anything for a month is a little disheartening, especially when all the news we hear is about a military contract.

  7. Guys I was really wanting Fire and Rubble to come out the other day so I thought I'd distract myself by hopping on youtube and watching some of Mark Felton videos. It just made it worse. PLEASE RELEASE. (jk Kinda)
  8. I just try to get a squad close to the house I wish to enter and use the target command. If they're close enough and have hand grenades they will usually lob a 2 or 3 of them during a one minute action phase. Rush your boys in there next turn while they're stunned and they will finish the job. It's not a breaching charge but it will suppress/kill the enemy fairly well. Alternatively you can split the squad have one group suppress and the others charge. This worked wonders for me in the Aachen Campaign in final blitzkrieg. It's not safe work but as aforementioned urban battles are nasty stuff in war.
  9. Yikes. Here in Lake Oswego were still at the Hazardous level. Playing Combat Mission is usually a good way to escape from the world but that's hard to do with such ominous skies. Glad you're safe!
  10. This is hilarious because there's been several threads saying the opposite. Perhaps not in CMSF2 though.
  11. It depends on how they die and what they accomplished. I generally try to take lower casualties as NATO then I do as the Allies or Germans in WW2.
  12. I was playing a mission the other day with the GiILLs and they missed 3 shots on a bunker. A bunker! I hate them.
  13. Dunno if this is a bug but after browsing the data files I've noticed there is no "mdr" file for the british to wear sunglasses. There's bmp files that designate they have glasses yet they don't appear!
  14. Ha here I was thinking I was the only who found the Eastern Front more interesting in 44/45 than Barbarossa!
  15. I think steam could possibly help but there's so many games on there now it could get overshadowed. There's a ton of "hidden" games on there that are never being promoted. But with that being said... You know how I found out about this series? Searching on google for a Star Wars Battlefront review video and clicking on the wrong link.

  18. This is true. I think I watched one of your video's (based on your sn) where you absolutely pounded the Germans across a river in CMFB. It also requires the opponent to spend points on AA.
  19. Thanks for the reply! This makes sense to me. Close AIr Support for ground troops does seem like a strategy that probably wouldn't have come to full fruition by the time of 1944, so I can see the historical relevance for not making them obscenely powerful.
  20. I find they never hit with their bombs and seem to machine gun random little bits of infantry instead of priority targets. Am I missing something here? It almost seems like a waste of points to bring air power to a battle in all of the ww2 games. Air support changed the battlefield in ww2 but I'd honestly take arty over air support anyday.

  23. If a tank model has armor skirts such as a stug does it actually add to the overall armor the tank compared to a vehicle that does not?
  24. Curious if these will be added in especially with the Soviet Partisan formations being included. It would be neat to drop them on vehicles from 2nd story windows!
