In War thunder Mig climbs better, but Sabre turns faster! It is a difficult question! Serious researcher should play DCS.

The rep system is actually a way to induce positive forum participation. Once you get over 300 + votes, you can ctl-alt-double left click on the "+" and get hot-linked to the BFC webstore. (The double-click is a pain in the ass. You've got to time it just right, or it doesn't link.) Once in, it automatically shows you what you can get, for free, in exchange for some + votes. The CMBN big bundle goes for about 800, I think. It fluctuates, depending on the USD:+ exchange market.
In this case, if John Kettler were to disenroll from the forum, he'd owe BFC some $ because of those negative reps. It's in the EULA. So, he's kind of committed to hanging about and hoping for a better turn of events. Unless someone wants to cash him out.

HerrTom reacted to Bulletpoint in Combat Mission AI
I think it's a bit beside the point to keep asking for more AI groups to fix the AI. It's a bit like saying WE NEED MORE HORSES... when what you really need is a truck maybe.
As I see it (after some experience building scenarios) is that we need the game to interpret AI orders orders in a better way. When given an advance order, the units will just run towards the designated destination. If each team made a short (30 sec) stop each time they reached a place of cover (hedge, low wall, etc.), the order would be massively more useful. It wouldn't mean the AI would suddenly start acting like a world class player, but it would make it much easier for a designer to make the AI attack in a reasonably believable way.
As it is, we can use an assault AI order (not the same as the assault command in the game), which makes the units of the group move in bounds, but the individual legs of the bounds are way too long, so units can't suppoirt each other, and no attention is given to cover along the way, which means units will happily run straight past a place of cover and then hunker down in the open field 30 metres ahead.
Currently, the only way to do a sort of workable AI attack is to very carefully use a lot of individual move orders to micromanage exactly where each AI unit will end up and for how long, and then sculpt the landscape of the map to make sure the odds are stacked against the player.

Yup I agree it definitely does.  Since making video compared to screenshots I've really noticed how wonky infantry movement still is, even after BF's patch.
In other news, I got a new microphone.  Be sure to tell me if you miss the fishbowl effect!
Why 7 minutes?  I thought I found a nice breaking point compared to the 5/10 minute points I had before.

I've always been able to use LumaSharpen and it doesn't impact FPS.
You can also try HighPassSharpen and AdaptiveSharpen. You can use all three as you like.
In CMSF I go with all three, in CMBS I do LumaSharpen only, and in CMBN Luma along with AdaptiveSharpen.
Keep in mind my eyes are bad, I'm using an ATI card, and I like sharp stark visuals. Oh, I can't use the nifty NVidia shaders in ReShade (FXAA/MXAO) so...

Oh dear. You seem to not to understand irony.
I slip in and out my alter ego's personality many times on this forum. And as mentioned previously on this site if I'd have been around at the time of the Putney Debates, I would have been one of those "strung up".
You might even wish to go back to Page 3 of this thread where I make my real views on Fascism crystal clear, via the late great lefty Woody Guthrie.

I said I'd make an illustrated guide, and I did!  Hopefully it helps some of those who were asking me about it
Step Zero is to download the Reshade distribution at the bottom of the page here: https://reshade.me/
Steps 1 through 8 are in my guide here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1LG9Og33Re95sPx4KyKtk98DjyUyK-Qcn
And my preset is here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dQ5zgLkyS5RRI559yJG929QFs2YqnRdb
Hopefully the archive works, I didn't really do extensive testing on it.

I disable the effects when not watching the battle.  You can set a key combination to do it - for me it's Shift + ~.  This way I avoid the warping menu, as you call it (I like the imagery the word conjures!)

@HerrTom  Wow.....That's some impressive work for a first AAR video, great to watch and it shows off the game's quirks (good & bad) very honestly.

@IanL I'm afraid of my opponent now.  Didn't think ATGMs were so amazingly useful at such close ranges!  I like your action shots.
In other news, excuse the inconsistent voice - I'm suffering from a cold today.
Hopefully I'm getting better at this whole video thing, though

The scenario is called "Ambush" and ships with the game.  It's one of my favourites, I definitely recommend it!
To make an escort scenario, I think all you need to do is fire up the editor and give the enemy a unit objective on whatever you want to escort.  Then, you simply have to build your terrain, OOBs, other objectives, briefing, etc

As long as I have been a Beta Tester I've took the plunge and install Reshade and got it to work. Now I can start to post screenshots with the big boys here on this thread
This is a screenshot of TF1-66 getting ready to move too their objective, still need to adjust the contrast some:

Got everything to work, thanks @CarlWAWand @HerrTomNow need to figure out which shaders I want to use. @CarlWAWis those the only shader files that you are using? @HerrTomI set the RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE fromm 1000 to 40 and I don't see any difference from when it was 1000.
