Just a reminder to readers that if you can't see some details, you can click on the images and see them as 2000px wide jpgs. So you will make out a lot more then the in-line shots here. -
I really can't wait for this patch! Thanks, Chris, and to the beta testers for all their hard work.

Thank you very much, Heinrich. It's always a delight to have folks interested in the first CAAR come back to enjoy the second. -

The use of Tank crews for recon is worthy of it's own topic! You're bringing up things I never considered before - such as differences in the terrain. I suppose it should be evident that one would approach it differently, but I always was so reluctant to dismount crews because - if I don't scout and lose the vehicle, well that's tough. Hopefully I got a shot off first before dying. If I lose a crew, I know I never had a chance to get that shot off. Faulty logic, likely but that's how I always was afraid to use crews for anything other than operating their equipment. -

My first CAAR (Comic After Action Report) was in the format of a DAR presented as a comic. To introduce some variety and also make this one a bit more like a comic, it will be presented less as an AAR and more as a story, following the actions and adventures of one man, a Russian soldier called Dmitry ("Dima") Ivanov. Of course this is also going to present the battles as well, so the AAR aspect is still included, just not the sole objective. Some of you wanted to hear more about Lt. Warner, Cpl. Dietrich, and Sgt. Hirsch from my first CAAR; they will be back in another CAAR. At the time of this one, Warner and his boys are in Normandy, and later, in Holland during Market-Garden. Once again, Kohlenklau is my partner in this, and I thank him for being a fun opponent in the battles and a patient friend in the delays doing these sometimes introduces.

Thanks, Ian. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but am reading your discussion about obtaining photos. Sounds a bit similar to what I underwent to get stuff for the landing beaches for the Canadians in Sicily. -
More Bulge Info! (and a few screenshots...)

It does seem like very little to base so much on, doesn't it? I remember Bil Hardenberger's AAR for CMBS where it was a playable game they were willing to let us see, and even so late in the development process he indicated there were some things he wasn't showing because it was not representative of what it would look like by the end. I'd say we're earlier in the process for this game, so it seems premature to be so worried at this stage. -

Thanks, that's nice of you. I've been busy and have several panels ready for our CMRT CAAR done. -
I get that there is history between individuals in any community. I know it can become frustrating. I understand that one gets tired of some people. But, I've never had problems with either John, or JonS. JonS has been helpful to me when I asked questions about using the editor, and John has never been unpleasant to me. I don't think that either of you gentlemen arguing in an ad hominem manner is constructive to making your points, but it really does reduce my desire to continue the discussion because I'm not here for an argument but go talk about history and our mutual enjoyment of CM gaming.

Haha, well, I do play PBEM. Though I am confused. I've had several people say it IS canister that the m8 is firing, and several say they've never read of that being done. Those that say it's not, are you saying the game is incorrect, in your view, in giving the m8 that capability?

Mac users - video capture software?

Have you been able to record sound? I was able to record a movie but it either is silent or uses the mic which picks up my clicking, cursing etc.. -
Thank you!

I'm messing about in the editor and modular buildings have icons for 1-8 stories, but there is text (sans button) all the way to 14 stories. Is something wrong with my install?

Haha I had that happen to a tree in one of my games too. It was impressive to see that they are more destructible than I was led to believe.
