  1. There's that too ^^^^ If you like the Russian front, RT is great, and more content is on the way. And there are also a lot of user created scenarios and campaigns. You really can't go wrong. Each has its "personality"
  2. I would go with the region/period of WW2 that you are most interested in. Battle of the Bulge interest _ can't go wrong with FB. Normandy to Arnhem - CMBN big bundle - tons of content by adding CW and MG in the bundle. Campaign for Italy your thing - FI/GL is fun and there is a third module in the works. I go with your "favorite" part of WW2.
  3. Yes. What scenario, and maybe an overall view showing which building? There were issues with that type of damage that got fixed during beta. Could be there is some odd combination that still shows up. I had checked that it was working correctly by blowing up numerous buildings just to see the textures.
  4. Don't know why you say you are surprised. No one above implied anything but respect for the other services, and just good natured ribbing, which comes with almost everything in the military. It's pretty obvious from the subsequent comments no one thought you implied anything like that.
  5. Halt Hammerzeit I've done well as the Germans. The key to that one is to make good use of fire support to pulverize likely looking defending positions on your way to the objectives, otherwise you'll pay and pay badly. That's about all I'll say there so as not to give too much away.
  6. When I was in Artillery Officer Basic School at Fort Sill, after many classes, some Marine lieutenant or captain would say, "OK, after class I want to see all the Marines in the corner and I'll explain what of all this nice stuff we DON'T have." Marines attend artillery school at Fort Sill with the Army. I had the fun of living on the floor of the BOQ where ALL the Marines lived. We had a blast. Great guys. Lots of inter service rivalry but all in good fun. Most of all, I want them on my side.
  7. I need this! I have tank crews that tend to bail out when a round whizzes by within 10 feet. Then I spend 10 or 15 minutes trying to shepherd them back to their tank, just to have it blow up in their face as they get to it.
  8. I think that's what I'm seeing as well. If I select several of the recon teams to unbutton, they all do. Selecting several of the vehicles doesn't work that way. For tanks it does because there aren't any passengers. If I double click on the recon platoon leader (not his vehicle but the flag icon), everyone unbuttons. As for firing I was able to select two vehicles who were unbuttoned and fire at the compound.
  9. What kind of armored cars specifically? Is it a scenario or quick battle? Which scenario? It will make it easier to track down.
  10. I usually just rubber band screen shots to take what I want. Clip out the UI and the text at the top that way.
  11. Only that they might still be getting things set up. Not sure
  12. Steve said it was ok to tell everyone that upgrades will be posted soon ( later today/tonight I think) Patience.
  13. It should. Steve has said they would find a way to honor all the prior owners of SF1 with the "upgrade" discount. Note that what MikeyD said is correct. It's not really an upgrade. SF2 is a completely new standalone installer. You don't need SF1 installed to install SF2. There is no physical connection between the two. So on release you should be able to order SF2+Marines at a discount, and then add the other modules as you want.
  14. I answered this in a different post but on a Mac FOR THE DEMO, the saved games you have to show contents of the .app, then Resources/Game Files/Saved Games. Old style like BN. When the game is released it will have a separate Game Files directory at the top level, just like FB.
  15. Had to reinstall the demo - had taken it off. Sorry fo the confusion. The demo is built the old way. So the saved games are at <demo>/.....app/Resources/Game Files/Saved Games. Like say, CMBN, you have to show the contents of the .app to get there. The full game for release of SF2 is built the new way FB is with the game file outside, so you just click on the game files folder. Much better.
  16. Applications/CM.../Game Files/Saved Games It's not a Mac thing. It's Charles setting up things on the Mac so you don't have to open the contents of the .app to find the game folders (scenarios, campaigns, saves, etc). Makes it tons easier to add user scenarios. The Data folder is also outside the .app now as well, so same goes for mods.
  17. The behavior of men, especially under fire, IS greatly improved. It's probably not perfect in every combination of assault, under fire, in cover, under bombardment, etc.... But it's worlds better than it was. The behavior of units in a small arms firefight in cover (a building for instance) and also under artillery attack - not bolting into the open to be mowed down - those things are much better.
  18. Sorry, haven't seen this in any beta testing either for SF2 or the patches. I upgraded to Mojave in the middle of beta testing SF2 and haven't seen any issues.
  19. In real life, plotting every possible ambush spot, etc is what each squad leader is going to try to do before each "move", and tell his guys to cover that door, or be careful of the stone wall, etc. You are him in the game, and every other squad leader, as well as the platoon commanders and company/bn/team commander plotting the overall course, and also you are the fire support officer, whether that's the FO or a higher level fire support officer, planning fire support - pre planned or likely targets. So you have all the roles to consider, higher level and man level. I'd say you are perfectly normal.
  20. What he said. Seriously. I'd take anything and I know it would be many hours worth, no matter the actual subject.
  21. Me too. And some user created scenarios. There was a guy who went by the handle "RikkiTikki" who developed scenarios. Did a large amphibious assault he made up. Great fun.
  22. I loved Tacops and played endless hours of it.
