  2. If you have a save that would be great. I am unable to reproduce this either in the campaign or a QB. I know this bug existed and there was a problem particularly with T-34s I think, but it had been fixed long ago. It would be unfortunate if it reappeared somehow. Maybe there is some specific situation or sequence I'm not hitting when I try to reproduce it. Dave

  4. That Festung Posen video doesn't give any feel for the absolutely terrifying amount of small arms fire flying in every direction at once. (play it - you'll see what I mean).

  6. I remember that from testing. I thought that bug got squashed dead. I guess not for every vehicle.
  7. Exactly. We trained for pretty much everything that's being discussed here. Some of that training is not scenario specific- for example, dropping in to secure and airhead while awaiting the arrival of mech units is not hugely different in Austria or somewhere in the Middle East. Different terrain, same overall mission. Dave
  8. They are in there. One way, in a QB, select Panzer Battalion 44 (late), then at the bottom you can select what vehicles, as the screen cap below shows. Also available as individual vehicles. (second picture). I had the date set for February 45. Didn't check other dates. (It's also in FB, BTW, by picking the same formation and it was already in RT) Dave

  12. I did peacekeeping duty in the Sinai after Camp David. Something could be made from that too. We had people rotating there for quite a while.

  14. I tested this campaign pretty throroughly (along with others). I had not had this happen and I just tried it again and was able to cross just fine with all 3 of those tanks. I used different sets of waypoints for each, including one in the middle of the bridge (I did have a similar problem on a later scenario in the campaign but that got fixed). Do you have a save game with it stuck you can post? Can you try saving and then restarting it from the save? Or start from scratch to see if it happens again? As to the second one, yes, been reported and reproduced. So someone will be on that. Thanks. Dave
  15. The goal is to use the Schwimmwagon to motor across and get to the exit objective alive. It's an opposed crossing so that group of halftracks is your fire support to soften up a crossing point. You can pick your spot. Keep the Schwimmwagon back at first and use the tracks to take out enough opposition so that you can cross without being blown out of the water. The Russians have some AT weapons so be warned. The tracks are not making the crossing, just the team in the Schwimmwagon. Here's the plan as stated in the briefing: Dave
  16. There are supposed to be 131 Fire and Rubble quick battle maps, I believe, last I heard. Dave
  17. Nice. Ours was military unit competition. No modifications allowed beyond giving it an extra good cleaning with standard cleaning kits. These were our issue .45s. Lots of fun, plenty of unit to unit trash talk and bragging rights. Dave
  18. In practical military use, if I had to use my pistol I'm not worried about 50m accuracy. I've used both and did pistol competition when I was in the Army with .45s. We had a chance to use the High Power quite a bit on exchange with the Canadian Parachute Regiment. I liked the HP a lot, and the extra rounds are nice. But the advantage of the .45 is that if I hit someone, he's likely going down. That may or may not be the case with the 9mm HP, where it might take a couple shots. Biggest challenge in learning how to shoot a 1911 well, is to not fight/anticipate the recoil. Again, that's less of an issue in practical use where it's more likely to be used something like room to room, not out in the open. Dave
  19. Yes, first being sure that you save any saved games and the mod folder if you have one. The new installer includes original RT + FR and the patch that all the other games already got. Dave
  20. Ok. Doesn’t happen on my installation so maybe it’s OS version specific. in any case this is not an issue. It’s just an extra alias and it’s not doing anything other than pointing to what it says it’s pointing to. sorry for the confusion but my advice for now is to just ignore the fact it exists. Dave
  21. There are two issues with Big Sur that aren't corrected yet. One is the activation window is a mess graphically but you can get it to work. The second is that the blue progress bars to load a scenario and when you press the turn button and get the turn calculation progress bar do not work at all. For the first you get a frozen black screen, and the second, the game appears to be frozen however it is calculating and the minute clock will suddenly start running. Both of these have a bug report showing in detail but they aren't fixed yet. Dave
