  1. Quickly played Beyond the Belice. It's a 50 minute scenario and at 30 minutes I decided to cease fire. I got a Draw, but I was pretty badly beat up. About 50% casualties...I probably rushed through it, but I was rather excited to try CMFI out. The Italians are challenging to use. Big squads that can't be split, although scout teams come as separate units Regular units panic pretty easily Tankettes destroyed easily Recon vehicle is almost useless, it's a large convertable car with a 20mm gun. NO protection at all. Get any where within enemy range and you'll take losses quickly. But the sound of the 20mm firing is awesome. No radios. C2 is brutal. Squad fire power leaves a lot to be desired. NO anti armor capability! Nothing. Even the M3 halftrack becomes a thing to fear. It's gonna take some time to get the hang of attacking with these guys...and to think there is a whole campaign from the Italian point of view. This is one fun game. Seriously, this is amazingly fun. It will take months to get through everything here. Very well done!
  2. I would like Company and Battalion icons to be slightly different than platoon hq icons. In the heat of battle I hate clicking every flag icon to see who is who.
  3. This first mod i'd like to see is for the weapons on the HUD. The green outlines ain't doing it for me.
  4. Love the new icons, ammo bearer, scout. Graphics are really clean. I haven't even started a battle, just looking around at stuff. And the Italian!!! Si Senori!!! AWESOME!

  9. Me thinks this might be a rather quick scenario...like the landscape, wide open not much protection.
  10. I love this type of misinformation. Would only work versus a human opponent I imagine, but I like this kind of thinking.
  11. I have noticed this on the Mac. But it doesn't seem to happen all the time. Recently played Vierville and they looked funky running around with wings.
  12. I hope in the Bagration version there will be one scenario with partisans. Just for something different.
  13. M8 crew bails out of vehicle. Not only does this guy survive, he grabbed a tube on his way out of the burning vehicle and then calmly starts firing his tube at the enemy... A very WTF? moment...cuz he did some damage Not for long though...
  14. Italians look very well dressed indeed. Now I'll have to learn Italian ranks. But is the truck driver on the right hand side driving?!

  16. They grew up in post WWI Europe...not much protein. Too many carbs.
  17. One of the reasons I enjoy CM:BN (and soon CM:FI) is that it is a lot like ASL and the later gamette's of SL, loads of details and small unit action as its base. BUT without having to leaf through pages of rules to remember that: sewer movement, when conducted at night, with a +1 leader who is wounded and carrying a captured SMG doesn't need a dice modifier...

  19. Yup. I'm running 1.10 patch. Just off board / map arty quits the game. I did cease fire on the first turn and got the second attempt on the beach landing. Then ceased fire again after about 6 turns and now am in what looks like the 2nd battle.
  20. I am having issues, like all beach landing scenarios, with the game quitting on me as soon as off board/map artillery starts. I can only get about 15 seconds into the first scenario, then it quits. I tried cease fire and started the same battle about 45 minutes later, with a lot less men, but it still eventually quits on me. In previous attempts at other beach battles, if I keep saving the game before I start it might work. IE, I have file 008, but it's still the first minute of the battle. But with Blue and Gray, no luck so far...
  21. Yeah, the crew moved 75M, gun showed up 4-5 turns later. If I could only get the gun to jump BEHIND an enemy AFV...
