  1. Who listens to critics? Your whole question is rhetorical...they are charging $10 for the update, you either buy or you don't. No long winded discussion/post needed.
  2. ???? Don't. Use. It. Fly out menus. Seen on websites everywhere for ages. Graphics are better, sharper, cleaner, crisper. It's worth the $10 just for the artificially night brightener.
  3. Dude, define fair trade? Battlefront spends hours tweaking their code, do you have any idea how much work that entails? Quit whining...$10 buys virtually nothing today.
  4. I was hoping for something new right around Christmas...course that could be NEXT Christmas for all I know.
  5. Well done. This ended up being harder than I thought it would be. Assaulting a town on a hill is brutal. I got a victory, but my infantry is shot up. Very good scenario. Thanks
  6. Actually there is a 4 hour scenario in the CMBN Repository KG Himmelfahrt. I spent about 2 weeks playing it, about 2-3 hours a day and still have about 2 hours to go. The defense AI is pretty well done. I got punished for being careless and aggressive. But trying to stay engaged in a scenario for that long wore me down. And my machine ran S-L-O-W. But it was a fascinating challenge.
  7. I would have to agree. All that work just to end up at Custer's Last Stand. There is no way one can even begin to assault towards the beach. I know historically that is accurate, but it isn't much fun to play.
  8. How are your casualties? I am an hour in and between my over zealousness and Ami Arty...I've taken more than I'd like. I'm in Kommersheidt and trying to clean up Froitscheidt's northern end.
  9. Got it to work. Awesome battle. I love having time for recon, deploying etc. 20 minutes in.
  10. I downloaded the file but cannot get it to load. CMBN quits during the loading page. Any ideas? I have the latest patch (v1.10) and this isn't a CMCW battle is it? thanks
  11. If you read the book, "We were soldiers...and young" or saw the movie (pre Mel Gibson meltdown) you might remember Sgt Basil Plumley. Fought in WWII (Salerno, Market Garden), Korea and Vietnam. One tough dude. Basil Plumley, Army veteran of 3 wars, dies at 92 Check his list of ribbons Basil L. Plumley
  12. I love your read me files. I also enjoy the "Holga 35mm" image of the CV33. Awesome work!!
  13. Exactly. Press FN and F12 and it works
  14. Open spaces = a lot more lethal you'll see
  15. Light mortar fire seems a bit too acurate: Yesterday I was receiving light mortar fire from a US 60mm morter. The mortar was 130M away, receiving mg fire from a Pznr IV, had lost one man and was STILL firing as fast as it could, and ACCURATELY. In CMFI I am receiving a lot of accurate light mortar fire, on the first round. I am assuming this is direct fire, but still, dead center in the middle of a squad, on the first round?
  16. My iMac has the 2.7GHz quad-core processor, maybe the 3.1 would run it smoother. It's only $300 in price difference. I am sure the Mac Pro, fully kitted out could handle it, but that is a steep jump in price.
  17. I bought the 27" iMac in November and am running 12Gigs of ram. On the very large battles (Hot Mustard is one) I have to lower the quality, turn off shadows and there are times that it will pause for 10 seconds and continue. Somewhat annoying but it is what it is. At that point I don't really care how it looks, I just want to be able to play the game
  18. Ha! Got Patton. To be fair, he did kill four Italians
  19. Easy! For the Italians? Yikes... It is a brutal mission as the Italians; they have to run 2km to get to the battle, stop and try to get untired, dodge multiple naval bombardments, and it's all open ground. I've got 12 minutes left and am about to assault the town. If I even get into the town I will consider myself lucky. And probably with 50%+ casualties.
