Tank immobilized by hand grenades | Realistic?
ridethe415 replied to ridethe415's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
So then it's highly random. When you can achieve this it's awesome, when it happens to you it's WTF? -
I've had this happen a few times. AFV gets too close to enemy units, a slew of grenades get thrown at it (desperate times require desperate measures I guess) and lo and behold, the tank (Churchill in one case, Panther in another) is immobilized. How realistic is this? Hand grenades screwing up tank tracks? Just wondering...

Lets hear about the greatest tactical game ever

Started with AH's Afrika Korps and got deep into gaming. First computer was a C64 and played (SSI's or SSL's) Battle of the Bulge for hours. I could even plug it into my TV and view it on a larger screen. I love CM but I do miss being able to stand back and look down upon the entire map, especially those maps that took up a whole table or two, Fire on the Volga, The Longest Day. But setting those games up took hours. -

Ok, I thought it would be easier than that, but sorta makes sense. -

Good question. I THINK it was 2.01, as I am noting this most recently When I turn shaders off it is a bit quicker...but looks awful... -

I have noticed a pretty significant decrease in the ability of my Mac to handle medium sized scenarios. Scrolling across the screen, it hesitates, mouse moves slowly across the screen and when trying to click the command buttons. I used to only experience this with large battles. -

MAC version Screen getting corrupted.
ridethe415 replied to MTTODD37's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
I have had experiences where the zoom starts to go forward and then spin at an amazing speed. I can change direction but then it just goes to the opposite side of the map. The only way I can get it to stop (and I can never remember which) is to try holding command and shift or some other variation of keys on the lower left of the keyboard. Don't know what triggers it, but it is very odd and very annoying. Only happened in CMBN, v1 and v2. Doesn't happen as much though. -
