Thanks for the idea but still no success. I don't know what the f is going on... But whatever, I don't even play the game any more although I can still do his mods. He added the new modtag and emailed me the scenario. We're functioning.

I removed the Vin mod and the odd units went away BUT I still have this other odd issue. I am trying to make sign mods for a guy making a Peiper campaign. He sent me a scenario/map. Anyway, in the modtag section of the editor I see the white text for the modtags he had and wanted to import a new modtag text file but then I seem unable to import. No white text. Nothing there.

Dang, I am doing something wrong. I had 2.02 and all was well. Now downloading the patch and failing somewhere as it says down in the corner 2.03 but in the editor I see the odd unit names and such.

That is an awesome kit! Smart idea. I wonder if anyone has utilized it...

Sometime this winter I will blow the dust off my limited modding skills and try to do your roadsigns. Always as winter approaches I get into what I call a Bulge mood. Please tell me which ones you need and if pointed to the left or to the right or entry into the town sign without an arrow...

Hey theforger, A couple questions... Will you employ any of what I call "decision battles" in your campaign? I have used this before and it allows the player to decide between 2 paths or 2 options (maybe force selection or even a random die roll). It is a simple battle, really a fake uncontested battle that branches the campaign between 2 follow on paths as described in the fake battle briefing. I remember using a single kubelwagen starting at point A and the briefing said if the player wants Option A, stay in place and the battle ends and branches off 1 way. Or if he wants Option B, he drives toward the objective and then "wins" the battle and the battle ends but the campaign flows down a different way. I even had one of these with a die roll, on player's honor, roll a 1 and stay in place, roll 2-6 and drive on. I think the lesser chance of a die roll of 1, added in some special unit, maybe a few Tigers, I forget. Or the weather goes to crap. When do you expect to upload your campaign? Good luck with it and I might have time to do some road signs although I don't consider myself a top quality modder. This fall will be the 5 year anniversary of the CMRT Winter Mod. I had a heart attack in mid-November and during the recovery decided to honcho up the efforts of many fine folks in putting it together. I still love playing it but definitely look forward to the real deal here. Any.Day.Now.

Question on uniform appearance... Some of your troops have what I will call the previous normal/summer appearance from CMRT and some have the new "winter uniforms" (quilted jacket and fur hat). Actually maybe the great coat is rolled over the shoulders for the summer...not EXACTLY like previous CMRT. Anyway, is this on purpose? Does the troops selection menu have a drop down for choosing "summer" - "winter" - "mixed"? Thanks

I have modded signs and other items for specific scenarios using modtags. It is very fun and rewarding to see it show up... It has been years but one trick you can use is the extra "junk" items can be the image and skeleton file, hex edited as well. I guess that is if you needed extra signs. Good luck

I honestly appreciate the guys doing the AAR to show fire&rubble. I was admittedly, from selfishness, bummed that it wasn't a snow battle to show CMRT in a new environment, well officially in a new environment. Maybe something got tweaked because some early screenshots showed the usual Soviet uniforms from CMRT and then later I saw the quilted jackets. I didn't read carefully why that happened. Usually uniforms or vehicle mods are modtagged (or coded?) to associate to certain weather or ground conditions or timeframes or unit types (guards). Oh, ok, I just reminded myself that maybe he purchased a certain Soviet unit and set "appearance" to winter uniforms or a mixture? I don't know. Anyway, really excited to see it all once released...

You can modtag a certain sherman version image(s) and when your modtagged scenario German KG has THAT version, you get the modded look. This might be best if you used an older Sherman hull and turret for the KG and newer versions for the actual Allies.

But even if BFC can't get it out until 2021, I still wish them Green Grass and High Tides... even

Call me an armchair general or whatever is the best label for my slacker approach to creating a mini-scenario of hodge podge teams purchased and plopped on the smallest map possible. Been a long time. Is it 252 x 252 meters IIRC? The valiant efforts by BFC to make TOE exact and precise and accurate are respected but not an aphrodisiac for me. I am really excited to pre-order F&R and will be watching closely for that announcement. NA BERLIN!
