  1. Oh, this isn't intentional? I was thinking we had "MoonWalkenTruppen"
  2. Any further progress on this? I am looking for a map of the Musa Qala area for an Operation Snake Bite campaign
  3. Spotting and probing the enemy defences, trying to draw fire etc
  4. Now that explains a lot. For quite some time now I have been thinking I read the scenario wrong or something. I cannot imagine that saying where the wind is blowing to has been used as the standard.
  5. That weapon is basically the same as the British light mortar
  6. This question has been answered long ago, by a native american, construction worker, cop, cowboy, biker and soldier : You can't stop the music, nobody can stop the music. Take the cold from snow, tell the trees, don't grow, tell the wind, don't blow, 'cause it's easier. No, you can't stop the music, nobody can stop the music. Take the spark from love, make the rain fall up 'cause that's easier to do.
  7. Aye, very cool video, I love the shot gun ones at the end. The block of ice ones are cool too (pardon the pun). What is the one where the pistol bullet is being hit by something ? Crazy that is hits it hard enough to knock a dent in the bullet but not enough to knock it off course.
  8. yeh, I sometimes wonder if BFC would be better off just announcing the title of the game then sit back and relax while the modders go for it. As an aside tho' obviously there is a huge community here with a very wide cross section of the world's peoples seems BFC would have no dramas finding volunteer voice talent to be sure it sounds authentic.
  9. Hate to be pedantic but since we are talking correct language here the cliché is "to step on someone's toes"
  10. There you go with those hairy opinions again. My tuppence worth is that as artillery causes the greatest number of infantry casualties, it seems right for an on board direct fire mortar to be particularly deadly.
  11. I cannot remember exactly now but I had similar problems to you in this. Pretty sure the solution was to install everything from scratch: CM:SF, CM:Marines, CM:Brits, CM:NATO then do the final patch to v.1.31. I seem to remember somewhere seeing that CM:NATO patches all the previous. Contact Schrullenhaft if you are having problems he is the Guru on all this.
  12. I think this link illustrates that quite well: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_desant I just love the optimistic hiding behind the turret of the Russian picture !
  13. Nothing is ever that easy I reckon -crystal ball shows the complaints thread after the release of CM: Tank Riders on the Storm - "My guys jumped off when an arty round landed 100m away !" "My guys jumped off when the bow gunner fired a burst at a cow" "My guys jumped off when the tank was only doing 5 mph and they all broke ankles" "My guys are elite tank desant and shouldn't get injuries at all" "My guys have rifles not SMG's so they should suffer more casualties 'cos they are heavier" "My guys helmets are the wrong shape" "The disks are still too round"
  14. Does enfilade fire work ? That is to say if I place an MG to fire along the length of a linear object will it everything along the object be attacked ?
  15. Thing is I wouldn't think they would be estimating the range they should be measuring it with a rangefinder, in the 1940's that should be a coincidence rangefinder which should be good to +/- 5m or so.
  16. Check the order and the numbers of the patches you installed. Wired Graphics and unit names wrong are a symptom of incorrect patching.
  17. It is a British Army manual not sure which one. I have it from my days with the Coldstream Gua ...... ok no. I Googled 6 pounder at gun accuracy and found a link to it.
  18. This is a manual that shows a table of AT gun accuracies, predicted so maybe in combat not so good. In short it shows about a 60% chance of a first round hit at 800m, which is actually pretty good I think. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/220/accuracyr.jpg/
  19. One joker in the bunch ? I would have thought Bunch of Jokers was more accurate. I call all my units Kevin
  20. Actually "solid state" electronics replaced Vacuum tube (valve) electronics.
  21. I'm hearing ya ! I just bought new glasses for the full CM:BN experience
