  1. Yes, you need LOS and have a lazer designator to use precision rounds and they only come with the 152mm and 122mm artillery and 120mm mortars.
  2. Skip right to Elite. The difference between Elite and Warrior is Elite uses generic infantry icons for all all unidentifiable infantry. So the enemy HQ and HMG units just look like regular infantry - in real life you would not know the difference most of the time anyway. Obviously the difference between Veteran and Warrior (or Elite) is the artillery timing. Just jump in you will get used to timing things.

  5. Well the latest version of CMFI is based on the v3 engine yes. That did not ship with GL though that was an upgrade afterwards. Although if you are talking about what is currently available in the store then I am not 100% sure it may have been changed to the latest version. Edited to add I cannot tell for sure either I suggest contacting their help desk to get a definitive answer.
  6. Another difference is that I have found is that if you drop three US precision 155 shells on a Russian tank they will all likely hit directly (it is a near certainty that two will anyway). Whereas if you drop three Russian precision 152 shells on an M1 one will probably hit but not always while the other will land near the vehicle. BTW a T90 survives a hit from 155 precision shell just as well as an M1 survives a 152 precision shell. Which is to say they will both likely need to be recovered and repaired after the battle 'cause they are not likely to drive home.

  8. Awesome story - thanks. Yeah when the cavalry arrive for the Russians it can get nasty quick. Or you could choose a different attack plan entirely.
  9. I spent some time today getting setup - convoy management and all that. You should have the turn tomorrow... Ah I see. I never noticed. I set my mortars up in a nice cumfy place where they have warm beds and are on call and ready for my FOs to decide what to shoot at.
  10. Ah, I see. It is true it makes it harder to control. I still do it a lot of the time. But really a lot of the time you don't need a Heavy barrage to get the job done. Going with Medium give you more control and still pretty good results.
  11. I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out for ya. My situation has turned into a bit of a Mexican Stand off. The two remaining IS2 are facing where they know the PzIV probably is and his other tanks are busy trying to deal with [REDACTED] that hit them earlier. My IG does not quite have LOF to the remaining IS2s. We will see what happens. I'm in no rush...

  14. Thanks, Yes that third AAA is harder to get at and time can run out on you while you work you way there. If you get the drop on the BTR you can come out of it OK but man if it gets your guys in it sights it really hurts.
  15. Oh there ya go changing the rules. Try it as the Russians - I don't think my US AI plans play out quite as well as a human's would.

  17. Thanks, yeah the Russian's don't have as good night vision but they are not blind so you cannot ignore the battery security. Those guys probably heard you coming :-)
  18. Excellent! I kind of wanted the time pressure for the scenario to be help arriving as opposed to the time just running out. The Russian air burst HE is really nasty - you really don't want to be caught under that.
  19. Cool. Glad to hear all the fun being had. No one has tried this as the Russians though? It can be fun too there are three US AI plans so it should have pretty good replay ability. Plus, the Russian AI plan will react to what you do so it too should play differently if you do different things.
  20. Moving HMGs short distances without packing up and redeploying is in CMRT if I recall correctly. I never tested it in CMBS but it makes sense that it would work there too. Fire it up and see, oh wait. I'll fire it up and see - when I have a spare moment - no idea when that will be...

  22. This is interesting everyone thanks for the voting so far. Iron and Elite are closer than I thought. More Iron players out there... I have to admit I was expecting more Real time for small stuff WeGo for the rest - I swear I have seen multiple people talk about that. I guess it was the same two people who mentioned it over and over
  23. I find most of my opponents at theBlitz.org. On top of matches you make your self, or with the help of our match making system, nearly every month we invite players to play a handful of scenarios to get their play numbers up. I announced our current lineup in this thread: http://community.battlefront.com/topic/117883-the-blitz-scenario-of-the-month-program/. It is a great way to get started.
  24. It is correct that one air controller can call one mission at a time. However once the call has been made and is running they should be able to call another one, I think I have that correct. So you can call two hellos on a mission and once they start working you can call the other two on a new mission and keep going like that. But also have a look and see if you have any other air controllers - you might find another one around some where, or is this a QB?
