  1. Well nothing has been discussed or announced but I have been just assuming so based on track record of BFC.
  2. Well, adding a new type of linear feature is a lot less work than changing a fundamental design choice. But that is just a thought. The fact is the streams can be made to look really nice. Even if you spent the effort to allow water to exist at multiple levels that would not really make creating streams easy at all. What they gave done is allow the creation of nice looking steams.
  3. And I think it is cute that you think that would stop the discussion about force mix imbalances.
  4. I would say yes based on my experience.
  5. So not quite but close. Have a look at the combined arms task force pick. There is one under infantry, mech infantry and armor. It has a headquarters company with a scout platoon similar the cavalry formation. You could delete the humvees and add an additional M3A3. Those task force formations are very helpful.
  6. Cool, it is worth bringing it to the devs attention though. It might make it to the enhancement list...
  7. Oh LOL I did not make the connection there. Yeah I was thrilled to see that. Just last turn two stingers went up and I got very nervous. But I actually forgot to check my air support status afterwards.
  8. I spent quite a bit of time reporting issues with force selection in CMBS so I know it is better than the other games. Can you help me out and describe the QB parameters you used that lead to the extra SAM selection in your force? The game sometimes chooses infantry and somethings chooses engineers as the main force. I doubt we will see that change but silly amounts of specialist units is something that has been fixed up during development.
  9. Hummm that does seem to be a bummer. I am not sure if that would be a bug or a limitation. Do you have a saved game handy that shows the issue?
  10. You are not the only one who has suggested such a feature. I think the barrier is more a case of the amount of resources and time it would take compared to the utility. There is plenty of content and other features that are just more important. CMAK was my favorite of the older games too. I would love for them to revisit the time frame and location in CM2.
  11. Nope, l have lost Russian air craft to stingers. The stingers do seem less effective but another factor could be concentration of fire. My Russian soldiers recently downed an enemy air craft by firing three missiles at once. I have yet to have a US force with more than two launchers available and that was only once usually there is only one launcher around. The Russian anti air at the tactical level is just better on average.
  12. Plus I think we have seen that blue targeting lines do not always signal good spotting ranges eeither (when visibility is reduced due to weather conditions).
  13. Excellent battle and I thing a very good result too. Yeah those RAF guys probably claimed two Jagpanther kills too.
  14. Sounds like you installed in the wrong order. The 3.0 upgrade is the last thing and that will take you to version 1.2. I think you can just run the 3.0 install again and things will be ok
  15. Indeed. I am inspired looking at your (and several others) maps.
  16. I'll let @MarkEzra give you the real numbers cause I don't know. What I do know is there are lots of new maps for QBs. Don't worry the map making elves have been hard at it and @MarkEzra has been taking full advantage.
  17. Holly smoke I did not know that. I have to remember that for next time. Thanks!
  18. I couldn't have put it better. I certainly would have found it hard to be more polite.
  19. Plus removing the HE round was not SOP, firing it and reloading AP was. So, depending on where they were in the firing cycle they would either complete the shot on the infantry and then engage the tank. Or redirect to the tank and fire HE first and then reload AP.
  20. it is magically what ever round is needed. They do it for ease of game play. That way the AI or the humans do not need to decide what round to have in the breach.
  21. Yeah but I would prefer option 6. A game where the designers have done a good job of research and everyone plays with the same system and when people find bugs the designers fix them and when people make unreasonable requests they are ignored and no one has to deal with the possibility of playing against them. Even though your work is of the "find a bug and try to get if fixed" variety (and that is a good thing (tm) ) if others copy your method would could end up with a bit of confusion. Actually I was not trying to say that what you did specifically was cheating the point I was trying to make was it opens the door to cheating. But you are correct the majority of us live in free countries and are free to do as we please. I'm just worried - perhaps unjustly but perhaps not. Well that is just a ridiculous straw man argument and an affront to discussion
  22. Yes it is a feature. I think the same works in CMBN. I suppose I have not checked really. I have played Myth on Invincibility twice now once for each side. Both times the Soviets won handily. So, hang in there.
  23. Somewhere in my posts I have shots of a Panther with 22 85mm hits that was still running. The 76 is not going to cut it at those ranges from the front. getting at the side of those Panthers is tw wat to go.
