  1. Indeed - that *is* what would happen . What you can do is give them a short target arc centred on the way you want them to face (i.e. not a circle but a wedge). Then on a later turn go back to an circular arc. My normal way of working is as @sburke suggested make sure the final way point has them team or vehicle arriving to their final location in the direction you want them to be facing.
  2. Check Settings / Email address and make sure you have an email address set.
  3. I use FRAPS: http://www.fraps.com/ Some of its features do not work in Windows 10 but capturing in game images and video work fine.
  4. Did I miss something? It has never been my impression that the TO&E research is has held anything up. Did Steve or Chris say that TO&E research was delaying anything.
  5. Interesting I have no idea what is needed to trigger the self preservation behaviour.
  6. LOL no we all lost. Oh man I don't even listen to pre / during / post game interviews with athletes any more...
  7. @choppinlt's cool project got a mention on Rock Paper Shotgun. Look for "M is for multi-tiered multiplayer and manual battle resolution" https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/02/05/the-flare-path-alphabetti-spaaghetti/#more-345723
  8. Look for "H is for Hurtgen hurt" https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/02/05/the-flare-path-alphabetti-spaaghetti/#more-345723 Basically it is a link to one of @ChrisND's preview play through videos.
  9. Sigh my revenge will have to wait. All that happened between those two AFVs was my Panther fired on the TD but the round hit a tree and injured some of my own men in the tree line. This is not looking good.
  10. Issue answered already so I'll just add that if the team spots nearby threats then the other team members will start engaging to protect the team.
  11. Yeah if there are no enemy contacts then this is suspicious. Just to clarify the tanks' guns are inside their arcs so no one is disobeying any order at this point. They might do but have not so far. So, if there had been enemy contacts inside the arc in the direction the gun is facing they this is exactly the behaviour we would expect. If there are no contacts then we would expect the gun to be pointing to the centre of the arc. And given the post about no contacts it seem suspicious. Do you have a game save showing this?
  12. Maybe and no. Without the blunt instrument of the circle some would notice that assasin and some would only notice the abandoned tank. A little extra detail rewards the observant. Clearly you don't want your readers to have to did for everything but a hidden or unobvious gem here and there is an added bonus.
  13. LOL, did I miss something? I have never had the impression that TOE work was the hold up for a release. I am also looking forward to seeing CM Wear in the store. That would be cool.
  14. PS I agree with @gnarly about the big red circle. PPS Oh and I should add none of my guys spotted him after that kill until he started to duel with the victim's platoon mate and even then he got two more shots off before being spotted. Nicely done!
  15. indeed. I totally agree. Forgive me I thought you were advocating for risk free pushing.
  16. I don't know. I use the built in TOE a lot in my QBs. I think the issue is that if they did not have thoroughly researched TOEs then they would need a more powerful formation editor. And I personally think it would lessen the value of the game. As for the web store, it is a big deal and a lot of work. The big thing will be to make sure itis ready for prime time. The last thing they will want is for it not to be ready. Believe me it costs a ton more to respond to problems than to delay and get it right in the first place. That's my thoughts.
  17. Good question what is the realistic risk? Non zero that is for sure (we have had experienced tankes say that they wouldn't push over a fence if they didn't absolutely have to). I expect that if they implemented pushing with a chance of immobilation there would be regular threads about how the game is broken.
  18. Cool I had a quick look at a couple of reviews and it does look better than any hex game I ever played. I abandoned them a long time ago. So, sure my supposition as to why people are having trouble getting *it* could be wrong. Yep, could happen. Then either those players having trouble with spotting might have also never played such a great hex game or they think those games have it wrong too. Either way it does not change the fact that some people have trouble accepting how the game is designed. That's there prerogative no worries. It is also not news either. I suppose (oh man I did it again I am supposing all over the place) half the threads here are either people confused because they don't understand what just happened to them and are looking for answers or people who are confused because they don't understand what just happened to them and they just think the game is just wrong and BFC should redesign the game to suit them - like yesterday.
  19. Correct it is way off because of how we command. If you adjust how you command your troops you will get better results. What are you asking for exactly? All small arm fire to have reduced accuracy so TC's don't get nailed as often? OR All TC's to have a special force shield so they don't get hit by bullets? OR A magical bamboozling charm so small arms shooters only have trouble hitting TCs but can still hit the enemy? OR A new mind reading device so that they duck down when you want them to? I don't think that last one will work since you would have to be watching for it to work. Lets go with the bamboozling charm that will fix it. @MOS:96B2P gave a great write up on what to do. Much better and nicer than my explanation. Apparently I am cranky today - GET OFF MY LAWN
