  1. Changing to you settings didn't change things. Not related to the game, I have had two blue screen crashes since installing this driver. I never get blue screen with XP. Both were because of something ati. I didn't pay close attention to what it said on the blue screen. Today my system was slow and I opened task manager to see what's up. ati2evxx.exe is at 500mb of memory usage. I think I'll install an older driver this weekend and see what happens.
  2. If I use the Windows XP Display Properties\Settings tab, the slider goes to 1600x1200 My desktop is at 1024x768 as is the game. I'll try your CCC settings. I recently updated the drivers through Windows Update, before installing the demo.
  3. I am on a CRT at 1024x768 The splash screens are fine
  4. I tried setting everything on high and turning off the ATI compatiblity setting. The horizontal lines are gone and the 3d models look good but the text is bad and so are the floating icons. The grass in the training mission takes a bit to load on screen and the LOD is a semicircle at some angles. I also set the AF in CCC to 16. I was hoping it was a Radeon text fix like CMx1.
  5. In the CCC info panel it shows Catalyst Version 11.2 The text is bad in game as well. After posting above I went in and changed the options to middle (balanced) setting but it didn't change. Also the LOD cut in and out is bad with horizontal lines where I assume the tiles come together or that is the effect.
  6. and poor graphics overall. I installed the 1.30 demo to see how SF would work before BN is out. I have multi coloured text that is barely readable. I went into the options screen and set everything to fastest, AA off. I have a Biostar mb with integrated ATI HD 4200 video, set at 256mb of 2g DDR shared RAM with an AMD Sempron 140 2.7 cpu. I checked the CCC and it is set for AA and AF as app controlled.
  7. There were Operations for CMAK for Kommerscheidt and Mortain. I enjoyed them both. The Kommerscheidt Op I played as US even though it was designed to be played as German.
  8. Been in the 20sC and will be upper 20s this week. Love the smell of fresh cut alfalfa.
  9. Works for me. Also on the comments about the trees not fitting for Normandy, the shots remind me of the later campaigns http://www.history.army.mil/books/wwii/lorraine/lorraine-ch02.html#b1 While we wait for the modules, why not play on maps that look like other areas?
  10. I'm on XP with Safari and the original pics are fine. The thumbnails are not clickable to something larger though.
  11. While some will say that is not realistic, this is a game and to me it abstracts a recon troop or crew checking the area. I suppose it gets tedious if you have a lot of units.
  12. This company's freeware pdf viewer has a highlighter tool. I like it better than Adobe reader. http://www.tracker-software.com/product/downloads
  13. That's a lot of shots. Thanks for posting the link and doing the shots.
  14. The specs are listed on the preorder page.
  15. Back in the 70s we would stay there for the weekend. There was only one hotel, owned by Sheraton then. Famous for the hot springs Pluto water. They had indoor/outdoor pools, bowling alley, mini golf, golf, tennis and a room full of pinball machines and air hockey. Back in the days before Pong. We took the horseback tour in the fall and were the only ones that showed up. The guide took us all over the place since it was just us and he had nothing else booked for the day. Beautiful country in the fall.
  16. I played it PBEM and while I lost as Soviets it is one of the most memorable fun battles in all of CMBB.

    EoS2

HPS is updating their games to not require the CD. Not sure if it as all games or just Tiller's.
  18. Keep in mind though that without borg spotting, one may get taken out and the others not have LOS to the threat and still die one at a time.
  19. Google earth has a grid tool and I also have found this helpful http://freegeographytools.com/2007/drawing-grids-paths-and-polygons-in-google-earth-using-ge-path
  20. You can tell that the crowd is not the same. Two AARs with pics over many pages and not one "who's grass mod is that?"
  21. Pyewacket's converter took the x,y,z from one file and copied them into the other. The file extensions were different and you couldn't just change the extension to go from one game to the other but he figured out something that worked.
