  1. I believe this is true. The pine tree state. Snuggled up close to Canada which explains why's he's such a nice guy, first settled in 1604 and the state motto "Dirigo" which means "I lead" (again, applicable to Steve in so many ways), and only 1.3 million population which means it's only slightly more populated than San Diego. Overall, great people live there, obviously. (Moon, can I have my $10 now?) Steve's home in the upper left, see it?
  2. Working from home in Waterloo. Maybe I'll drive down with the laptop and we can do one of the missions MP realtime on your LAN?
  3. Working from home myself, somewhat conveniently I dare say.
  4. Wow, I thought I had a decent handful of single malts at 8 in my collection ... 20-30? I'll make sure to drop by in your neck of the woods so we can compare. I've got a lovely old Cragganmore, a great bottle of Glenfiddich 30, a 25 year old Highland Park (Orkneys), and a 91 Glenrothes (my dad gave me as a gift on my wedding day) I can bring for the tasting at my end. I know it's a bit common, but I'll never turn down a Glenlivet because it was my first a way way back.
  5. Seattle? Really? You mean the picture Phil C sent me that he said he took outside Moon's office window was a fake?
  6. We'll see if the guy from gamerswithjobs.com can be trusted today or tomorrow ... or whether we should take torches and pitchforks to his offices!
  7. Or the distinct lack of manure pile flavour objects.
  8. That was probably nothing more than the million Shakespeare refresh monkeys banging away on their keyboards.
  9. I thought the purpose of the demo was to get most of us off your backs for a few days, playing the demo until our fingers bleed and we've gone 48 hours without sleep, so this forum will finally settle down and the BF staff can do the final little bits before the full release and we stop pestering you with our unbridled enthusiasm?
  10. I'm set to buy my second copy of an OSX D/L version-only as soon as it gets released as my prize to the winner of my "Win a Copy of CMBN" trivia contest on another forum. That winner is "patiently" waiting.
  11. Back from the dentist. Glad (?) to see you guys hadn't been posting what fun the demo was in my absence.
  12. Oh sweet heavens, we're reduced to debating the merits of flora and manure piles in Normandy as we wait for the demo and release of the game? Steve, for all good things that are decent, put us out of this misery. Horticulture. My word. Not even the number of lugnuts holding on the front geared wheel of tank type XYZ ... flowers for all things sacred. Man, we have been reduced from hard-core grogs to something even my wife could have a conversation with. The shame. Where has our manly man-ness gone? (Rhetorical, I don't need pics from any of you flowery lot.)
  13. Hah. They've been predicting the end of hex and chit board wargames since the 1970s and we're actually in a renaissance of sorts with superb titles coming out from lots of publishers. I'd be surprised if someone didn't take up our hobby as we drop away.
  14. I now predict the demo at between 8:30am and 9:30am Eastern tomorrow when I am in my least favourite place in the whole world ... the dentist's chair. You just watch.
  15. Yes, hi Faelwolf I'd (refresh CMBN homepage) also like to say hi and (refresh CMBN homepage) welcome to the best WW2 game and (refresh CMBN homepage) forums to be had anywhere. Now, if you excuse me (refresh CMBN homepage) ...
  16. I think the three are yes. Didn't one thread mention that the one was a simplified version of one of the initial missions detailed in the manual?
  17. "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers." Act IV, scene 3.
  18. Hitting the refresh button is going to cause me to go blind? Damn.
  19. After last night's election here ... "Not soon enough" is the answer to your question. Where'd my Canada go?
  20. As soon as the demo gets released we can get released from this crazy closed loop of clicking on the homepage every few hors and visiting the forums 35 times a day and whining and complaining and chattering like little old ladies. Play the demo until our fingers bleed until the magic email arrives and the world's good place. Not that I don't like you all, but man, just give me the damn demo already.
