  1. Ahh,thanks Wodin.I found out I need to take the 2nd Ranger Mod out of my Z folder before booting up the game,No big deal, just glad I don't have 50,000 Rangers running all over Normandy.Although,it would be a good thing and an easy way to Win the War in short order.
  2. LOL,I was playing with some Naval guns last night, took some screens of them.I will post them later as I am short on time right now.Lets just say they are the THUNDER OF GOD. Made short work of a German Company. They took about 12-15 minutes to come in from the time my FO called them so they are very tricky to call in.And yes,you need to turn off rarity to get them,They are very expensive.Guess they didn't want just any E5 FO throwing 14 inch shells all over the French Country side.
  3. When playing a QB is there any way to pick the Skins of my units.Playing a quick battle, can I pick my units as the 2nd Rangers using that mod or am I stuck with the random skins.I was playing Devils descent and I notice my AT gunners had the 2nd Ranger skin when they were supposed to be from the Glider infantry unit.any idea how that happened? Thanks.Love the Mods by the way, thanks to all modders.I am a Mod addict.
  4. I agree. This campaign is the best yet.As I said in another thread,The ability to make choices about what to do next adds an RPG element and really puts you in the Company Commanders shoes. You also develop a real love for the guys you command. I lost Lt. Johnson in the third mission and was very saddened by this, and Fitzgerald has been limping around since mission one,and I am now in mission five. One more hit and he is done for. We need more missions like this.My only complaint,I downloaded the 2nd ranger skin and for some weird reason when my AT guns came into the game from the Glider unit, they are all wearing 2nd Rangers insignia. Not a big deal, just curious as to why this happened.2ND Ranger AT gunners.
  5. Cool,thats what I was looking for.Thanks.
  6. How do I get them for each unit,How do I find them is what I'm asking.Thanks.
  7. After some Engineers or Pioneers blow a hole in the Bocage,I love watching Vehicles, especially Armor, roll up the embankment and down the other side thru the gap.Love the detail suspensions on Tanks the most.Awesome detail.
  8. How do I find out who killed what, and do unit kills carry over from mission to mission in a Campaign? Do I need to wait for after a mission,or can I pull it up somewhere during a mission.Thanks.
  9. Just downloaded and played thru the first couple missions.I absolutely love this campaign. The second map was a ton of fun and very well designed.I give this one three thumbs up.Love how you make us decide on our next course of action, almost has an RPG feel to it.I was agonizing over my last decision and have spent the better part of an hour trying to decide if I made the right move.
  10. Glad you are enjoying the game Wodin.I am having a blast.Did you get the Steel box yet?I recieved mine today, very nice.
  11. Do you just put Mods in the "z" folder.Where do Scenarios and Campaigns go?Thanks.
  12. LOL.Maybe the Rapture happened, but God only found like 20 worthy People. When they got Raptured it was such a small number that No one noticed.
  13. The box is dented because it is made from pieces of an actual Sherman that saw action during Normandy.
  14. Well there better be at least two, because thats how many I bought.
  15. I have kind of a system I use to determine if something is an "Entertainment value" to me.Kind of a little formula I use to see if things are worth my hard earned dollar. This game has got to be one of the top rated E Value items I have come across in years. My system is as follows. The average two hour movie, the most widely used entertainment source, therefor, the best to use for my system cost about 20 dollars US per person. Ten to twelve for tickets, then the Popcorn and Soda and 20 dollars is a Conservative figure.probably more like 25,but I use 20 as it is a good round number. So,my EV is 10 dollars per hour. This game cost me 70 dollars for the Steel box pre order. That includes the shipping of course. So,when purchasing any PC game,I need to get a minimum of Seven hours play out of it.Using the above formula,I have to say that this game is well worth the price.Generally speaking, most PC games are one of the best bargains in entertainment. There have been a few I have bought and been so bored in the first ten minutes that I lost money on my EV but This game is probably the best I have ever come across. The game has tons of content at launch, and I know I can count on this community to furnish many more hours of fun in the future, not to mention the quick battles and map editing tools. All in all I wanted to say "Thank you BFC for giving me wayyyyyyy more then my moneys worth".I give this game three thumbs up.Yes,I said three thumbs up,not two,but three.I could have three thumbs,it is possible.None of you will ever know how many thumbs I have.
  16. Is that the Fire breathing machine of Awesomeness model 2100,or are you getting the Fire breathing machine of Awesomeness model 2180 with the screaming jets of Plasma upgrade package.
  17. The pathfinding problems I have had in the Bocage seem right for the terrain IMHO.Read any book about the Normandy operation and it becomes apparent that the Allies were plagued by this problem and needed a solution fast. That's why they came up with the Rhino. I do have the occasional unit get lost,or stuck behind some big arse bush with no way to get thru, but that just adds to the realism in my opinion. How many men got lost, heck, entire Platoons ended up lost in the Bocage.Seems to me a pretty good representation of the battle we are simulating. If my guys get lost and can't get back in contact with the Main body, then I just wait till the Battle is over and then I give the leader of that unit a good ass chewing and hope it doesn't happen again.
  18. LOL.I was very frustrated by this also.I found the best way to deal with this is move in very small forward moves, like under 50 feet. Also, make sure you move the platoons together, but click on each unit in the platoon seperatly, otherwise one squad is sure to get lost and spend the next 50 minutes trying to get unlost and will soon wander off into the enemy position,or worse yet, into a friendly Artillery barrage.
  19. They are good for replacing the CO HQ unit when the dumb ass driver of the command vehicle goes cruising into the Friendly artillery fire and gets blown to bits by a 105. At least thats what mine was for.
  20. The shocked and amazed look on my Wifes face when I said "Honey,I need to be alone with my new game for a while,Go out and have some fun, just take what you need out of my wallet and leave me be for a few hours." I think this may be my most expensive game purchase ever.
  21. Yea,I think by August they were back in England wondering just what the Hell they got themselves into when they signed on the dotted line at the Recruiting office.
  22. Ogling the units is fine.Fondling the units is a No No.
