Steve, Just keep doing what you're doing at current prices. You're doing a great job. A grumbling wargamer is a happy wargamer. Ignore the naysayers. - - - - - - Per your earlier post, I concur you should make EF one game with 5-7 modules and oodles** of Packs. Us technology semi-literate folks would prefer to launch one game and play all the various time periods (41 to 45) without needing to re-launch. **Numerically speaking how much is an oodle anyway?

Correct. That's the way it's been explained in the past. Then a $10 (or so) patch will bring the older games up to latest features. I really want to see the casualty FT cause secondary explosions.

Smoke, used in an attack
Lt Belenko replied to DavidFields's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Lately, I've been burning a Perdomo 10th Anniversary Churchill cigar when I attack/smoke. -
Send Greenasjade a PM. He links you up on his dropbox.

Current pricing model and some suggested improvements

One pill makes you larger and One pill makes you small. The ones your mother gives you do do anything at all. Which one costs $20? -
No vices? Serious? Quit your job and go to a monastery. Either that or go buy a nice cigar right after you buy the game.

Hypothetical situation...grogs welcome.
Lt Belenko replied to noob's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
In Normandy even though the Germans were getting the crap kicked out of them, one hedge row at a time, they continued to hold until they ran out of bocage country at St Lo and the breakout happened. So historically I'd say any morale loss was negligible until the Falasie time. Additionally I'm not sure how you're doing this, but I think your using another computer game to play this operational scenario. Why not set up a battle with that game look for results similar to those obtained in the CM battle, and see what that game applies with regards to morale loss. Either way a unit reduced by 50% is in dire need of R&R with replacements or their next operational area needs to be much smaller coverage due to greatly reduced combat effectiveness. -

I just saw World of Warcraft is down 600K players over the last few months. Now that's some potential CM customer base. -

I'm sure the BFC company will change their pricing model based on your suggestion. Thanks for looking out for the rest of us. Signed a non-cash deprived non-teenager. -
The start of actual news
Lt Belenko replied to Battlefront.com's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Each Game is 1 year. BFCs split between games is something simple like Barbarossa started in June. Berlin ended in May. Where is the split? May/June - kinda easy. Anyway, there was plenty of overlap in equipment type deployments. I figure the older equipment stayed around until it all was broken/destroyed. I doubt a Regimental commanders would say "Lets ship back those model L PzIII's the new model M's will be arriving off the show room floor any day now." Maybe the only tanks that were declared obsolete were Pz I. -
