  1. Hi birdstrike, I agree. Realease both. Regards John
  2. Hi All, I had not played ToW for quite a time. Then I downloaded the Uber patch and JSI mod. I am finding it to be quite a bit of fun creating small scenarios with the Battle Generator. I allow no more than 15 units per side which I find quite managable. Usually it ends up as less. I try to make them historical, but only in the sense that the Germans have less units but more experience. Too bad about non-enterable buildings and no smoke. However, at least I am enjoying the game when I thought I may never do so. Try it you may enjoy it too. regards John
  3. Hi Cadmium77, I would advise that you buy both. I do not think you would be disappointed by either game. I have both and find each quite enjoyable. Regards John
  4. Hi, It looks great. Thanks for the mod. Regards John
  5. Hi Cadmium, The game is well worthwhile. Not only is it entertaining but also interesting and immersive. Money well spent. Regards John
  6. Hi Romml, Very nice walls. Thanks for the work. regards John
  7. Hi All, As someone said earlier, we all get to vote with our money. My vote will be yes because I really like what the game and the system have evolved to. Marines, Brits, Germans, Canadians, World War 2. I can't wait. Regards John
  8. Hi M1A1TC, Thanks a lot. Great work!! Regards John
  9. Hi All, I understand that there will be 2 icons on the desktop. One for CMSF and the other for the Marine Module. Does that mean? 1. Click CMSF and get only CMSF 2. Click Marine Module and get CMSF plus module. I suppose I am wondering if it works like a plug-in. regards John
  10. Hi All, It is dead I think unless 1c and the developer have some plans to patch it up much the same way CMSF has been patched up. ( now an excellent game ) What a shame. Can you imagine gameplay as realistic as CMBB or AK, and editors as easy to use as they have, but with the graphics of ToW. Now that would have been a real winner. Regards John
  11. Hi All, The other day I targeted artillery on a building and the roof sustained multiple hits without collapsing. It did occur to me that it was one strong roof. Regards John
  12. Hi All, Just wondering how development is proceeding for the first module. regards John
  13. Hi All, Will this mostly be a change of theatre or will there be improvements to the game engine. If there are imporvements will they be backward compatible with ToW. regards John
  14. Hi Afreu, I am at the 25 minute left mark. Great scenario and lots of nail-biting. I hope you will make more. regards John
  15. Hi All, Thanks for the information. The future looks interesting. I am enjoying CMSF and also will be waiting for the Marine Module not to mention CMx2 Normandy. I like playing TCP now and again and have had continual problems with connection and play. PBEM is also a nice option but the large files make it less convenient and accessable than in CMx1. How will Battlefront deal with the problems of transfering such large amounts of information so that multiplayer can reach its full potential? Regards John
  16. Hi All, In TCP quick battles I have played units disappear, and then sometimes can't be moved. This seems to happen to the non-hosting player. To be sure it is not a problem with my install I have switched with a couple of players to confirm my observations. Has anyone else experienced this? Regards John
  17. Hi All, I would be curious to know what is being considered in order to fix multi-player tcp problems. Regards John
  18. Hi all, MultiPlayer TCP is still very unstable. I cannot supply a saved game because the option is not available for online play. I have tried a few games with a regular connection and some with hamachi. Only 1 good connection so far. Otherwise very poor. Regards John
  19. Hi All, I tried multiplayer online last night. It worked very well and without having to use hamachi. Mind you, although it seems promising it is only one game. The other thing I noticed was that BMP's seem to be faring better against Bradleys. Again I will have to play more to see if the above behaviours are consistent. ( I hope so. ) regards John

  22. Hi All, In terms of pathing, infantry and doors I find If I give them a direct movement order from point A to the building then the pathing works much better to take them through the door. If I want to micromanage their movement paths then I try to end waypoints behind or in cover. The last movement command will take them directly inside the building as above. Its not perfect but it seems to work reasonably well and it satisfies me.....most of the time. The odd thing to me concerning immersion is the maps. I still play CMx1 and I find the maps more realistic and immersive. I can't really put my finger on what the difference may be.......something along the lines of the CMx2 maps being too refined. The CMx1 maps seem somehow rougher and so more realistic to me. Regards John
  23. Hi All, The game is much improved with version 1.07. However some pathing and other issues still remain. Fortunately, at least in single player, I rarely have too many "Arrghh" moments. I have noticed that LOS seems sometimes odd. That is when you have 2 units in the same location. One can see an enemy and the other one can't. MultiPlayer really needs attention as it does not seem to work very well at all. In the urban sceanrios, as well as most others, I never move without establishing recon at positions that give me clear fields of view through areas that I wish to move. Overwatch and bounding movement also work quite well. Right now I am anticipating the Marine Module and the reduction of "Arrghh moments" that I hope it will it will bring. Regards John
  24. Hi All, The above does not surprise me. I have tried to play many online games. Regrettably the games either crash or suffer from serious lag. The absence of a save feature for online play is a serious drawback as a save game is not possible. The only way I have had some success with online games is to play using hamachi to connect. And that has been "spotty". Considering that there have been 7 patches I hope that cleaning up the multi-player connection problems will be part of the focus of the next patch. Regards John
  25. Hi All, Among other items the following would be very useful: 1. Better multi-player stability: Currently MP does not work very well. 2. Auto-save in Multiplayer: As there is no save facility when the game crashes it becomes a total waste of time as you cannot re-start. Those are at the top of my list. However wego for MP and a better way to handle PBEM would also be nice. Regards John
