  1. I was hoping someone had given CTS the credit they are long overdue.....Just look at their record, most western units would be very proud of battle honours like theirs. PS - I did enjoy the film, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting/hoping for.
  2. Looking forward to seeing exactly what the T-90M looks like once delivered (in numbers).....The T-80BVM seemed to differ a lot between batches.
  3. Finally got around to watching this, TBH the unit depicted, while looking a lot like CTS, appeared to be acting a lot more like a PMU, at least based on the accounts I read while researching for the Mosul scenarios. Not sure what to make of it TBH.
  4. There appear to be a few issues TBH: I know at least one other 'in-house' designer has looked at this and made at least some of the fixes, possibly all of them, but things kind of ground to a halt at that point as far as I can tell. Don't get me wrong, the campaign is playable, but it's kind of frustrating as it currently stands.
  5. I've always been able to spot fortifications, they leave a whopping dent in the terrain (I spent a while messing with this in H&E, trying to use uneven base terrain & jungle to hide it).
  6. Tree stumps were fairly common causes of immobilisations.
  7. Maybe try using a bunker instead (& putting it fully inside the house using the editor).
  8. I'm used to watching it rise & set (I like to set my scenarios at dawn or dusk, mostly for dramatic effect), but does it do the phases of the moon too? I honestly don't recall!
  9. Any chance they might fix the Stryker campaign? It's been studiously ignored for a rather long time now.
  10. Exactly the same for me.....I wonder if using ported maps is making a difference for some reason, Can't imagne why it would though.
  11. "Did you see that?" I have no idea who he is either, but hi anyway.
  12. Yeah, I'd have to agree.....Battlefront Tech Support is in extremely capable hands. Elvis is in the building.
  13. This makes sense: Sounds like the whole bogey did dismount to some extent.....Which as the author pointed out 'was very Porsche'. Guess it was just a translation thing, with almost any other tank it would have made sense regardless, just not with one designed by 'Beetle-Boy'.
  14. Well I suppose that is one option.....I'll probably try switching a few settings TBH, but it's the unpredictabilty of the thing that's the main issue for me. I'm trying to teach myself to write better scenarios and to do that I need to know how things work, so the scenario itself is often less important to me than the learning process (hell, you of all people know what I'm like on that front).
  15. Still outta likes.....That's another! Combined with the lack of radios all this can certainly give the impression that Red don't talk to each other (as you saw in Mtope).
  16. Yup, that's why you have my (& I suspect, our) total support.....Outta likes, owe you one. On the two in three times that single mortar fires in my first example I reckon it has about an even chance of killing an AI trooper or three! The tanks area fire often isn't kind to them either, but that's another story (and entirely my own fault). So that one was you.....Kudos (& another like owed)!
  17. Was this in a scenario ported from CM:SF1 to CM:SF2.....The reason I ask is because the map where I've been having some Red C2 issues was ported.
  18. I've killed dudes on the far side of buildings with .50cals using the technique @Erwin describes.....Sometimes without knowing they were there until much later in the game. Had a couple of spectacular examples when testing TOC for @MOS:96B2P
  19. I was just about to edit my comment above to reflect this very point.....Having a fifteen minute variation in the duration of the artillery stonks in my second example makes timing the follow-on infantry assault almost impossible, the AI troops have good chance of either sitting around for a quarter hour or getting annihilated by their own artillery.
  20. This is always a dilemma.....I know what you are spending your time on and I'd much rather you did that! I'm in a similar position myself.....Time spent trying to diagnose WTF is going on here is time not spent making wonky islands or writing fiddly AI scripts that may or may not work as intended!
