"Southwind Command, this is 1-1. Our position has been overrun and we are falling back!" Look carefully at the guns of the guys in the background.....They ain't friendlies! That's how close combat can get in the open, at night, in 'Heaven & Earth'. The Imperials get NVG, but typically only one per squad or team at the most.....Now imagine fighting in our jungles, at night, against local forces with a concealment bonus around their village. -

Nope.....I think a particularly inquisitive fellow may have found some legacy items from initial testing of CM:CW, in a very obscure location (ie: where you just won't find it unless you are seriously into making the most sophisticated sort of mods). -

@37mm will be able to do a MUCH better job of Heaven & Earth using this game as a basis.....Our biggest limitation there in many ways were voice files. As the game is essentially Red vs. Red, the voice files are shared, in the current version everyone speaks Vietnamese (with a few special exceptions). However he won't have to do that using CM:CW.....The various vehicles are already on the right sides and the bulk of the basic TOE is more or less correct too. The biggest imitation here will be the lack of Uncons to make the local VC forces (So much for me not whingeing about Uncons, eh? ). CM:H&E2 will be a LOT closer to the real thing.....That I can guarantee (& TBH the current version's not too shabby once immersion kicks in, which it will).

Good show.....Knew I could count on you! This will be a very interesting game.....Massed T-64s against the earlier M-60s is going to be really nasty. You guys will be needing some Chieftains to help you out.....Soon please, so I can blow up Iran!

Is the M60A3 TTS Going to be in the TOE? Apparently it was more capable than the earliest M1s, but it's pretty close to the end of the time period: "The procurement of M60A3 and M60A3 TTS tanks for the Army concluded and hull production ceased in May 1983" Man I'm excited to see this game!

@37mm.....Check this out: Just needs a 90mm gun tube (& a cupola & riser if you want to be a total Trackhead about it). I hope this game sells so well that Battlefont will make modules both for different regions in the time period stated (Afghanistan, Iran etc.) and also for different time periods.....How would Conqueror & M103 have fared against the IS-3M hordes? -
