  1. The German troops all speak with Bavarian accents, which is obviously wrong. Due to my intensive research into the hometown of every German soldier present in Normandy on June 6, the proper accent should be one representing the North Rhine-Wesphalia region.
  2. Yep, no worries. It's just a visual glitch, after all.
  3. They missed the day when their drill sergeants in boot camp went over buddy aid.
  4. It's a ping sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10O5rc-x75A (And yes, that's me )
  5. Loaded up a mission last evening and noticed a problem with some of the rank icons for infantry sections. It seems platoon leaders have been promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and 21Cs are now Majors. Is this a problem only on my end, or are others also seeing this?
  6. Very nice pics, especially the shots of the infantry. How are Panzerfausts rendered? Do they "just appear" when a soldier decides to use one?
  7. Do soldiers curse and yell when the Garand's bolt slams shut on their thumb?
  8. Tell the CCC to let the application control Anti-Aliasing settings and set the filter to what your card can handle. For vertical refresh, I find setting it to "Off, Unless Application Decides" works best. Everything else, set the sliders to their max settings.
  9. Here's a good article on the subject: http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=2031

  11. -Will German machine gunners have ammo belts draped around their neck? -Will grenades disappear from the soldier's body after they have been thrown?
  12. An American manual for a foreign weapon? Gonna have to do better than that. EDIT: Goof on my part. http://germanmanuals.com/images/Schmitt98-0org.jpg
  13. As someone who's also lived in the Middle East, I can only agree.
  14. Very well-made videos. I've learned a fair bit about how to better manage my troops by watching these.
  15. Same here, no save game. I'll try to reproduce the effect and produce a saved file.
  16. (This happened in Real-Time, so I don't have a saved file). The situation was this: I ordered a Warrior IFV to make a 90-degree turn and move parallel along this wall. The vehicle moved a bit past the waypoint before making the turn, and once it made the turn, the wall was split right down the middle of the vehicle. After a few meters, it ended up on the opposite side of the wall that I wanted it on. The blue path was my desired path for the vehicle, and the red path is the one it ended up taking.
  17. Thanks. He's a good friend of mine. Anyways, back to the mission. Man, this is a tough one. I thoroughly plastered the three capture zones with my 155mm artillery until hardly a building was left standing. I moved in my infantry formations intact, expecting nothing more than having to mop up. Nope. Still plenty of enemies wanting to put up a fight. In the end, I was handed a Minor Defeat, because 1(!) enemy solider was in one cap zone, and 3 were in another. Gah! Not to mention, all of their health levels were listed as yellow. Anyhow, I'm mostly pleased with my performance. Asking these tiny British infantry formations to tackle highly skilled and motivated Special Forces units is a tall order.
  18. Excellent, thanks! I'll keep those tips in mind.
  19. Played this mission for the first time last night and was promptly waxed when I attempted to move my infantry into the objective zones. How should I approach these areas, given that so many of the enemy formations have a high skill and morale rating? Should I be holding back my heavy artillery to take down enemy strongpoints?
