  1. A nice looking mod, I'm yet to install but have a quick Q. What's the yellow colour in some of the weapons boxes? Is that because the guy is wounded? Do they go red for KIA?

  3. Just playing through this at the mo, enjoying it a lot I seem to be getting more and more units every mission so I think it might get to stage where I can't manage them all though! (playing in RT)
  4. Have forum members been employed to make the modules then? That's pretty cool (I'm sure webwing was just a regular member/map maker.. maybe I'm wrong/don't know who he works for)
  5. Finished my 1st ever campaign go brits! Now I'm going to go back and try and finish TF thunder and then the marines. oh and I love playing with the Brits.. I think I def play more cautiously.. with Strykers I just seem to roll them into trouble and hope they can shrug off most fire.. which is probs not a good idea!

  7. hmm I haven't noticed squad leaders in particular dying in house storming. Perhaps things could be tweaked so that when a move order is issued into a building, the squad leader doesn't plough in first but sends his grenadier etc.. Come to think of it are squad leaders even modelled at the head of a formation? Surely they shouldn't be..
  8. +1 here. 1st mission of the campaign. Whenever someone fires all the buildings light up.
  9. Possible that the shot just went straight through the BMP and took out the T-90 as well?
  10. would snatches really be used like that in full frontal assualts? would've thought you'd want to dismount and leave them so they don't get hit from nasty RPGs.
  11. In that kind of green zone combat I doubt the Brits can put accurate aimed fire back down range. It's probs more of.. we're taking fire from this vicinity put down a field of fire in attempt to suppress and then try and hit it with an airstrike. If they don't suppress the area effectively then the talib could probs quite easily retreat. going back to the Ross Kemp doc, one of the missions they went out on was deemed a 'success' as they had 2 confirmed enemy kills, and this was on a company sized 4 day patrol.
  12. cheers! I don't usually need it when playing the typical desert, MOUT scenarios, but I struggle sometimes when a couple of woods get thrown in. I guess this will be needed more when normandy etc comes out.
  13. is there a way to toggle off trees that I've just missed? :/
  14. cos if you don't you get shot? could maybe be implemented so that it only does it for about half a metre, and only if it'll break LOF with the enemy or put you in cover?
  15. something that's always occurred to me when moving my squads around is they always follow the man in front.. is this the tactical way to move around the battlefield? surely it would be nice to choose whether you want to advance like that, or side by side to have maximum fire power and eyes facing forward? or is that a way to get your guys killed quick?
  16. I guess you just have to think of the match up you want to fight and think comparatively who would have the better training. If you want to fight a US vs UK army but think the UK has better training then I guess you plump the UK as vets and US as regular, or go for crack and vet respectively.

  18. 1) usually until I win. 2) It was enjoyable the 1st time round I'll replay, if I thought it was too easy I probs won't replay. 3) If both plans are tactically sound then sure. If it was toss up between a whole new scenario or a dif AI plan I'd pick a new scenario tho 4) mainly blue vs red AI, however I'll try anything vs the AI.
  19. does anyone know any settings to play a QB and get a normal force load out? I've been trying to play a small village assualt against Syrian infantry and I've been trying/hoping to have a marine platoon to fight them with. So far I've got a load of hummers, and then next battle some LAV ATGMs and stationary TOWs
  20. I just played it with 1.11 yesterday (with the original version) and no problems, a few casualties but nothing major. Just about to start mission 5 now.
