Huge map of what type? LLFs full Ramadi map is the single largest urban map I think anyone has done in any of the CM titles.

I would never recommend to anyone doing mail order. CD and DVD media are rapidly disappearing. Wait for.release, order download only. Store a few copies off some where just in case but beyond that all you are getting is a manual. Is a manual worth that much to you. (Honestly not worth anything to me, I can read and mark it up in a tablet while I play). There is no pre order for download.

yes to all the above. It is worth it to me, so I buy it. Whether it is worth it to you, only you can decide (I mean generically, not you specifically). BF is clear on what is included in every game on their home page http://www.battlefront.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=276&Itemid=460 so if someone feels that CMBN stand alone is not worth it if it has no German Paras and they don't think purchasing it later in another module is right, then they know in advance and can save their money. That they bought it with plenty of opportunity to know that kind of removes their right to complain about it afterwards. Read before you buy and only buy what you think is worth buying.

never make your decisions based on what anyone else is doing. if you want to make a campaign, go ahead. release it if you feel like it. Hell I have no idea what I'll end up doing with my map, but I can't thank you enough for the mod. If own the 3.0 upgrade, just re-download it. Install in and you can skip 90% of this. It will have everything up to 3.0 included, modules and patches etc.

wish folks could wait till it was out before pronouncing judgements, but I guess it is Bil and Scott's fault as we are simply filling in time waiting for the next installment... So here is how it really works. You have two tanks about 1km distant. Tank A spots Tank B. Tank B's laser detector goes off and it automatically fires smoke. If Tank A has already fired that doesn't do much good other than protecting it from additional shots. So what it really comes down to is how fast can a tank fire off an accurate round after lasing. The Abrams is faster. That means you may have a lot of instances of getting an opportunity of that flank shot only to see the Abrams defensive measures allow it to escape. For the T 90, odds are that first round is on it's way before it can pop smoke. Obviously you may be able to affect that by crew experience settings. You will have a lot of instances in CMBS where your tank pops smoke and backs up and you'll be scratching your head as to what lased it. Get used to that. In a large tank engagement you are gonna see a LOT of smoke. CMBS is a whole lot different than I think anyone realizes. These boards are gonna be fun once it is released.

This is why BF gives info so rarely. They know it is never going to be enough so why bother. They literally JUST told us about the next NW Europe family and that CMFI and CMRT would see modules.. LOL You need to fight this addiction son, it's taking over your life! The one question I can answer (because BF has already said this) is there won't be another module for CMBN. There may be additional packs, I think the jury is still out on that pending their assessment of the profitability of the last pack. The original assessment for CMBN was 3 modules, but they covered all the period material they needed to in 2. As to future families I don't think they can really say. It depends on how much material they have to work with. I am not even sure the remake of CMSF will have 3 modules again. A lot of the work regarding ToEs etc is done. They could however expand on CMSF (yes yes yes!! please, Israelis, Egyptian, Jordanian, Turkish units please!!)

I didn't say I agreed with them, I'd love to see CM do a family on the cold war sometime in the late 70s/early 80s. I'd also love to see them do a 1945 confrontation between the USSR and the Western Allies.

Once the nuclear balloon goes up, a tactical game becomes moot. This is one of the reasons Steve has said they aren't interested in a Cold War game. I don't think you will ever see any interest from BF on doing this.
