  1. heh well this is where it gets fun. I use the exe data folder for mods I want in all the time - sounds etc and I'll do multiple installs if I want a particular mod set for something I do a lot like maybe a CMSF2 urban install and the documents mod folder is all the urban mods. You can offset that with tagged mods but a lot of mods are not tagged.
  2. put em in your mods folder...… there is a section in the manual with some more specific details to help with load orders etc. Mods folder can be found in your documents/battlefront/combat mission/game title/user data/mods
  3. absolutely and it goes for anyone. If you find yourself getting too wound up in "conversation" online with people you don't even know it really is time to take a breath, go outside and meet some real people and have normal conversations. Online is such a bizarre experience in some ways you really need to know when you aren't handling it well.
  4. ohh yeah! Been wanting to get back to that too, particularly "the snitch".
  5. damn we have been found out.... you may want to look at some more maps. Granted Holland is flat... like really flat, but I never had this perception of a billiard table with hedgerows.
  6. Well that is always the question and the answer is different for everyone... a wife and two kids and you still manage to play any of those? Dang not sure how you manage that. I introduced my neighbor to CM and he is in the same situation as you. He loves the game but yeah he has no real time to play. I don't have the kid issue for time, but I find that most other games bore me relatively fast. There are so many different ways for me to mess with CM I haven't hit that wall yet. Then again map making is something I really enjoy that isn't necessarily a "game" thing. There is no winning or losing, just creation.
  7. Very cool! Yeah you just confirmed for me not to select paypal going forward. I've kind of wondered about using it.
  8. Only played 3 times and you actually read documentation?! Jeez that is really a noobie!
  9. Oh yeah I know it does, but I have never seen the value add especially considering it is not free and as a US purchased my cost is even less than most of the folks international based.
  10. That may be a question for helpdesk. My understanding was you just needed the base game license. I'd assumed that your base game license is somehow connected to BF to know which modules you have associated. That is just an assumption though. You could always just try it depending on how impatient you are to fire it up, but it is definitely worth pinging the helpdesk... and posting the reply
  11. That is for the module. There is no download link because your download would have been for the base game. It is a full installer. All you get with the module is an activation code.
  12. check your email including spam, you should have gotten it with a download link and activation code
  13. Cool, sorry missed the previous post about modules. On a personal note I only do digital download. With the new method BF has for maintaining the DL as most current it is just easier to update that way than bother anymore with a disk. I haven't ordered delivery in a long time.
  14. Yep, that's why he met his family that had one and left the country. Paris is not on his list of places to visit again apparently.
  15. Back when I was in my 20s I worked as a bike courier in DC. One of my coworkers decided to join the Legion- no idea why. His family was from Germany. Well he joined and quickly found the glamorous lifestyle was nowhere to be found. He met a member of his family near the border, they gave him his passport. So ended the career of a legionnaire.
  16. Kind of curious. I have a unit now and the Lt commanding first platoon of a Marine unit is named Naranjo. Different name and being curious I wanted to know what it's origins might be. So is my Lt of Mayan descent or did his parents decide to name him Orange Tree because of his hair color? Or maybe he is Trump's bastard... now there is a thought. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naranjo
  17. I don't disagree with that but your statement was the west waged the war to get the resources. Saying China is going after those resources kind of undermines blaming the west and citing it's motivation. So what exactly is it that you are getting at? Exploitation of a country's resources or the war in Afghanistan? The two are not necessarily one and the same. The same is happening in many locations, multiple African nations, Latin America and it isn't one country doing it. It is pretty much all the countries with the economies that have a resource demand. Apple makes iPhones, they are made in China. iPhones require a lot of scarce materials, China goes looking for those materials. Do you own an iPhone? You are part of the problem. (and not just iPhones, all smart phones, electric cars, etc etc) Are you not in fact part of the problem?
  18. LOL yeah really. Did I have a choice on whether or not to move from CMSF1 to CMSF2? Yeah sure THEORETICALLY. But once I saw those new model pixeltruppen doing a target briefly and the AI doing a retreat... hell no! You bastards made me buy it!!!!
  19. fun to see the differences in play style. I had my M1s move up those ramps with one tank coming through the gap at the roadway. let them destroy everything in sight, then pulled them all to the gap and move forward slowly again decimating anything that moved. Strykers behind, arty dropping ahead and eventually started dropping in infantry to secure the various objective locations. Moving the Jav teams up is an interesting move I had not explored.
  20. Send the Lt through on quick first so your engineers aren't wasting their time.
  21. good luck on that. CM is a game you play for years. If you can find that same value at the price on Steam then hats off to you.
