I think the term Air Guard for this crew position is a bit of a misnomer. I think Glory Hole would be more suitable. -
Thanks for the update, much appreciated. I'm really looking forward to the next patch, it's sounding very promising. Especially since CMSF is the only game staying on my HD after I play and delete all the 5 minute graphical wonders like Crysis.

A game to keep an eye on is Fighter Ops, it could well be the spiritual sucessor to Falcon 4.

Campaign wise, I really liked Steel Panthers. The fact that you could take a force of troops through WW2, trying too keep them alive and upgrade their equipment was great. If CMSF has such a campaign, even if their equipment stayed the same it would add immensely too the single played experience in CMSF.

Rick, I totally agree. I think there have been many, not to mention significant improvements with CMSF. As a very casual player i'm not in the best position to list them all, but it would be quite refreshing for someone else too.. BF is one of the few companies doing what we are passionate about and they deserve our support.

Yeah, there should be an option to either fully button, or for the troops to lend spotting and fire support.

I think it's pointless debating the tools of war, they are all to a lesser or greater degree equally barbaric. What is important is why they are fighting and how much they are attempting to avoid civilian casulties.

I only use the mouse and that is really irritating with the present menu system. I wish BFC would bring back the CMx1 right click and scroll menu.

Well said Omnenowl, any problems are just that annoying and not game breaking. My concerns lie more with the longevity of CMSF, it having limited units and no dynamic campaign. Not to mention it's frickin unforgiving and it bothers me every casulty I take. Hmm, I guess that was a compliment.

Thanks for the tip Steiner. What i'm talking about is when a squad is hit red crosses appear above some troops. These crosses often disappear before I can render first aid. Edit.. Ah nevernind, I thought those crosses indicated WIA's, but correct me if i'm wrong they just indicate a casulty taken. [ November 01, 2007, 01:56 AM: Message edited by: Spindry69 ]

Iv'e noticed that my wounded troops usually die very quickly after being hit. Often I try to move another squad to their location to offer first aid but the WIA's are usually dead before they arrive. On a similar note what about the idea of having a deadicated medic in each squad or maybe platoon that could be detatched to render first aid freeing up squads to continue the fight.

I've noticed both these happening too. While disembarking from a vehicle the crew came under fire so I ordered them straight back in. They froze and were no longer receptive to orders. Also happened after cancelling an assult.

Actually 50% is on the low side of reviews, one was 95% and 67% being the average.
