  1. I should say more than that. It looks fantastic. I haven't seen it yet. How high can the troops go in the towers?
  2. Thinking about the 88's some more. I would think a regular spw halftrack could tow one even if that wasn't standard TO&E. Was it decided not to because of the animation required to change a 88 into its towed appearance? Oh well one would rarely move a 88 anyway. If I recall in CMx1 once you unhooked a 88 you could never rehook it and there was no "towed" graphic.
  3. Create a folder called Z in your Data directory, and copy the mod files into there (these will usually be .brz files).
  4. Really? Will we have to wait for the SDKFZ 7?
  5. Welcome to the forums. The short answer is no. Discussion of this question can be found here: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=95646&highlight=beach+landings
  6. I certainly was with CM:Shock Force and thought it might be the present day setting but I find myself being much more careful with my pixeltruppen now then I was with CMBO/CMBB/CMAK. I just don't like to see my guys get hit and going up against these Germans-they're much more an even match then the Syrians- it happens a lot. Guess I'll just have to get use to it or get better or hit the reload.
  7. Sorry: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=96781 And besides it's not the Brits module, it's the Commonwealth module though not all the Commonwealth and it may include the Poles who weren't really Commonwealth and... nevermind.
  8. As I recall there is a desire to add AA guns and anti Ac fire as well as Flamethrowers/ Flame tanks in the future. Who knows which will come first and when. If I had to guess, and this is pure guess, flamethrowers will get added with the Commonwelth module so we can have Crocodiles and AA Guns with the Market Garden Module. No promises have been made by Battlefront though.
  9. So it will be the Russians then. I hadn't heard that previously. Thanks!
  10. Oh, can you tell us more without breaking NDA? Soldat Hans; Did you not read that Shock force 2 is modern combat between MAJOR powers set in a temperate area? So you need not fear. Sorry Knightflyer but Battlefront has repeatedly said they have no interest in doing WWII Pacific. The didn't say never ever but I wouldn't count on it.
  11. I don't think it'll be inflation so much as content. The price of CMBN is $15 higher then CMSF was originally but you get almost twice as much as I once posted: The CMBN Commenwealth module will be huge as well especially since it will include SS and Fallschirmjaegers. I would not be at all surprised if it cost more than the $25 the CMSF modules went for.
  12. Hmm, this is either a Muppet reference or a hidden clue about the next Battlefront project THE SPACE LOBSTER GAME!
  13. I took a look but there are several names. His is facing opposite the others but that might just be a editor glich. What's this I see though? Masons buried in a Catholic cemetary! We can't have none of that. This game is fundamentally flawed!
  14. no flaming fields. There's been talk that fire will be added if and when they add flamethrowers /flame vehicles but no promises as to when that might be.
  15. This is very true. Also at the end of the war, the high ranking Nazis took Hitler's brain and put it in a jar to mastermind his return whereupon it will be implanted into a new body. This sounds evil but the story has a silver lining as Battlefront was able to steal the technology and preserve Charles' brain in a jar for decades to come. Battlefront's next plan is to make 97 clones of Charles' brain in order to churn out new games at a dazzling pace.
  16. What happened to the web cam they snuck into the Battlefront warehouse before the NATO module release?
  17. And if they fit in the Normandy timeframe how are they used in the game and if not how should they be modeled?
  18. Here's my theory on the Market-Garden Module. The focus from the Allied perspective will be on the Airborne forces. The US Airborne gets essentially re-done with new TO&E between Normandy and Market-Garden. It makes sense to re-do the British Airborne as well then though I'm not sure of any re-organization or differences between the 1st and 6th Airborne divisions off hand. Since were focusing on Airborne the Polish brigade gets thrown in. I believe both the Heer and the SS went through a re-organization at this time so they get re done. One really needs the SS for Arnhem. So in summary the module will include: New Sept '44 TO&E US Airborne British Airborne Polish Airborne New Sept '44 TO&E Heer New Sept '44 SS New terrain. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  19. Steve said this on a CMSF thread in December. Now it's way early and he could come back and say the Nations are Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales but this does look hopeful.
  20. I'm wondering, say, when we get to the Market-Garden Module the campaigns might have special bridges in them of the Arhem and Nijmegen bridges that would not be available normally in the terrain editor but the maps would be available for further scenarios. Am I making sense?
  21. I'd rather see the Free French Army in the third "Battlepack" module but maybe the partisans would be a better seller, at least in the US, as they would certainly be more different. More than either though I'd like to see Ostbattallions for the Germans.
  22. Calling all grogs. I know the Soviets used a bit wider rail guage than the rest of Europe. Does anyone have any data on the approximate rate of conversion in, say, KM/day the Germans and Soviets were able to perform? Thanks
