  1. The word Normandy didn't appear on the CMBO box. I don't know why it need appear on the new game. Besides I've heard it will just take place "France Summer 44" as often as I've heard exclusively Normandy.
  2. MD, I've copied a post of yours from an earlier thread giving a list of things we could expect to see in a WWII game. I thought it was a rather comprehensive list.
  3. I don't think reviewers give a rip about patches. Next best chance for re-review will be with the Marine module I imagine.
  4. Shall we renew this discussion? Has the question been taken up by the Battlefront crew yet?
  5. I think the Brits are a good bet at least. If they sell well enough we may see the German/Canadian/Dutch module.
  6. An Osprey is the last thing I would want to be in over a hostile environment, but I think Peter's not serious about it being included anyway.
  7. Just wondering if Battlefront has now patched CMSF enough to have at least some of the crew start work on the first Module? I'm sure the Marines can't wait to get into the action.
  8. I suppose the NDA will prevent you from offering details? I'm thinking why would a mod only work with 1.06 and I realize "New Feature"! [ January 30, 2008, 04:37 PM: Message edited by: Sequoia ]
  9. Most interesting Module for CMSF? Well they said they'd be doing it, the British. Most interesting New game would be WWII and they'll be doing that too. I guess I'm just not original.
  10. Hi, I had found the Wiki one but it was at an angle so I couldn't use it, but the Carclub one will do nicely. Thanks. I'd hate to go into battle like the one guy with the MG though.
  11. Can anyone point me to a flat on side view of the Weasel? If I can't get a Weasel picture from the Battlefront forum it must not exist on the net. Thanks
  12. Yeah Battlefront tends to pooh pooh these type of "special" vehicles but I think their addition would help add a coolness factor to any module and therefore help sales despite the vehicles actual limited usefullness in a stand up fight.
  13. I've speculated before that once they have water done for WWII they could add it in the Brit Module.
  14. I've always thought a NATO and Russia invade a Belorussia gone mad campaign (it wouldn't take much) would be interesting. We're begining to see the mods that will let us do it provided we use our imagination a bit.
  15. One can only change skins. No modding/adding of 3-d meshes or changing unit stats.
  16. Mikey your mods will sell more copies of the game. Great Job Now to nit pick. I don't think al-Sadr would be a popular choice for Syria. I think Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah would be more likely as would President Asad but suppossedly he's overthrown for the game premise.
  17. A MikeyD mod is worth the work. MikeyD mods for CMSF could attract a whole new wave of CMMOD users hence contributors.
  18. Qustion one. Yes. Question two. There was a Special Forces thread once upon a time. In it Steve said that if they ever included Special Forces/Seals they would be in the form of operatives similar to what the Syrian player has, as the mission of such units isn't conventional combat. No idea if this is still the plan.
  19. At the risk of having a title that sounds like "Lord of the Rings:Battles for Middle-earth II: Rise of the Witch King" I think "Combat Mission:Shock Force:USMC" would do nicely. A more difficult question is what will the British module be called? [ December 21, 2007, 01:28 PM: Message edited by: Sequoia ]
  20. Mad Matt you need to put the Santa hat up on the forum header. Time to break out some of that South African wine you have for Christmas too.
  21. I think it's more of a priority issue since it's supposed to be rather rare in modern combat. They'll have to have it for WWII though. Maybe they'll add it to CMSF once Charles has it programmed for WWII, but then again they'd have to do some sort of animation I would think. It need be no more elaborate then the buddy aid however.
  22. The irony here is so thick it could shelter me from an nuclear explosion.
