  1. Tough, I have played CMBO years ago, and migrated ( like many others ) to CMBB & CMAK. However, I still have my old copy and might be able to play tonight ( U.S. Eastern Standard Time ) around 10pm if that works for you. It will be a small 600 point QB, Combined Arms, Meeting. email me: i r i s h w o p 6 7 at a o l dot c o m this way I can have your email address. Thanx, Joe
  2. This is also posted under 'Opponent Finder'. Looking for one opponent to play 500-600 point QBs. Only restrictions I have; - I only play AXIS - Let the computer AI choose what targets to shoot at instead of Human. Area-Fire is ofcourse allowed. - No night battles If interested, please Email or PM and will send over a game file. Thanx, Joe

  4. Wouldn't that be great, if BFC came out with their own Platoon level game similar to the 'Campaign Series'. This way, BFC would have their 1 to 1 scale ( CMx2 ), Squad scale ( CMx1 ), Platoon Scale ( whatever the name would be ).
  5. If a heavy building is intact, and there is a destroyed light building connected, then passage is possible. However, if one heavy building is intact and connected heavy building is destroyed, no passage is possible ( you will note; the intact building facing the destoyed building also has its walls damaged ).
  6. Pandur is correct...When two street buildings are connected to each other, troops already inside one building will need to exit outside to enter the connected second building. Due to the modeling of the buildings, you will see doors all around, and are only applied when buildings are seperated. You can just use one way point as your troops will automatically take the safest route possible. Ofcourse, you can instead give several way-points for more precise movement. Joe
  7. I purchased the Campaign Series a couple years ago ( played Eastfront, Westront 10+ yrs ago ), but since then misplaced it. Looks like I may need to purchase it again soon...Always liked Platoon level gaming ( each unit a Platoon ) over any other scale. Still dont think I will give up my CMx1 Series. Let me know if anyone is interested in playing this game in the near future. Still would need someone to help me through the PBEM process of Campaign Series. Joe
  8. Twan, Ah...Ok, I guess TOW uses super-human crew attributes, its no wonder you couldnt KO that Cromwell.
  9. You have to first 'Save' ( Alt-S ) the game turn, then next time choose between PBEM or TCP. Joe
  10. Yes, once you get within those one or two bounds, give your troops ASSAULT orders to boost moral for that final plight.
  11. Run Luke, Run...The other way ! God, I would love to see them Ruskies get shot-up moving in the open like that. Keep us posted...
  12. Its the Panthers close defense weapon ( there's also a few other German armored vehicles that carry this in place of smoke dischargers ). The buttoned panther will use its anti-personal grenade dischargers to try and suppress close by Infantry ( which I think is alittle overmoddled ). To find out the exact name; Do a quick test game as German with either a Panther A or G ( Panther D only has smoke dischargers ), mouse click on Panther and use the enter button, you will then see a window that gives all info on that panther ( you can do this with any unit on battlefield to find its info ). Joe
  13. I have just sent a PM, and Email. Thanx, Joe
  14. CMx2 ( or 2nd Generation of Combat Mission Games )...There will be a WWII version of Combat Mission-Strike Force ( first module: Combat Mission-Normandy ) coming out shortly...You can read this discussion in the Combat Mission-Strike Force forum.
  15. Twan, Its ok...non of the above will happen in CMx2 WWII...Get it instead of TOW ( when it comes out ).
  16. Twan, I dont play TOW, but you are right, the Cromwell should have died in the first hit if not the second. If one of the crewmen died then the rest would have bailed...The gun doesnt have to be damaged. Yes, Those types of HEAT rounds on a Schreck should be wunderwaffe...Sounds like undermodeling to me.
  17. As BlackVoid mentioned; If you can get close to an enemy with FTs, you didnt need them to begin with. Flammers are still overmoddled, because they can route a fresh squad with just a burst. Flammers are meant to be used after the battle ( a normal CM encounter ) to clear any remaining enemy units that are already degraded ( heavy casualties, low moral, low ammo, etc ), and should have limited use in CM or just banned altogether.
  18. Thanx for the info guys. I figured a much, outgoing firepower isnt reduced like it probably should be, but guess it works out ok in the end.
  19. Ah...Yes, the good ole CM Super Flamethrowers. IMHO, Flamethrowers should be banned from being used in CM as they are overmoddled ( along with half-squads and Submg Squads ). At the very most, you could use them in scenarios where the enemy has started the game in a combined Green, weakened, half-strength, low ammo, and or partisan status...which will never happen in any of my games.
  20. I have been wondering this for awhile and figured I post it now. If troops are in a building and shooting out, how much firepower is reduced. In general, A squad in a small building would only have half its troops shoot out at any giving time do to limited spotting, lack of doors & windows, etc. I dont mind up to a Squad shooting with full firepower out of a big one story building. However, to sqeeze almost a whole platoon in each corner of that building, and shoot out with full firepower is just a bit to much. Unfortunately, I am guessing that buildings are treated the same as a tree, brush, etc, tile for depth cover only.
  21. Also, in addition; If you are on the second floor, and give orders to move to 1st floor ( and there are troops directly below you on 1st floor ), your troops will move to different location on 1st floor.
  22. Col. Dead, If interested, how about small 600-700 ( Company Reinforced ) point QBs, However, I only play AXIS. Just PM me your address, and will send over a file along with some House Rules to make CM alittle better.
  23. Pcelt, CMx1 may not be fully compatible, but I just purchased a LG 19" Widescreen, and it works just fine on all 3 games. Units are very slightly stretched, but really not noticble. Joe
  24. Whats your email address so I can send you over the game file and House Rules. -OR- you can click on my name and send me an email with heading Combat Mission, and I will reply back...Either way is fine. Joe
