Phil, or anyone else. Will there be any adverse effects on CMBB, CMAK if the Dell Laptop I get is 15" ( not sure if there is a Wide version of a 15" ). I prefer to get a 15" over a 14" if I can get away with it.

Hey Phil, My old Dell C640 with Win XP, 2 Gig Pentium M w/intergrated ATI Radeon 7500, also worked pretty good ( decent frame rates, but no fog ) with CMBB and CMAK. Yes, I also heard that Nvidia Graphics in generel work alittle better then ATI since its not intergrated, and might even get fog. I Think my next purchase of an old Dell Latitude will be with the Nvidia Graphics. Thanx for the info.

Following up on Chops thread for CMAK Graphics. I am about to purchase an older Dell Latitude Series laptop Pentium M Celeron 2 Gig, 1 Gig Ram, and want to know which of the following Graphics ( intergrated or card ) will work best ( smooth running & FPS ) on CMBB, CMAK using Direct X8 and older Direct X5 games: ATI Radeon 7500, ATI Radeon 9000, Nvidia GeForce 5200 ( 32 MB ) Nvidia Radeon X300 ( 64 MB ), X600 ( 128 MB ) Basically, I dont want to powerful of a Video that it doesnt run CMBB, CMAK properly ( Which probably means it wont run older Direct X5 games ) Thanx Joe

Hello Tech Support, I have a Dell Latitude C640 XPro ( I believe its around the 2001, 2002 time frame )- Pentium Mobile ( intergrated ATI Radeon 7500 3D ), 2 Gig Speed, 1 Gig Ram, and works good with CMBB, CMAK. Unfortunately, both mouse ports were loose for awhile and finally have broken along with some missing keys. Instead of a costly repair, I would rather purchase another old Latitude similar to mine. I hope you can help me decide on which of the following Dell Laptops to choose from: 1) D600 XPro, Pentium Mobile ( intergrated ATI Radeon 9000 ) 2) D610 Xpro, Centrino ( 915 Chipset ) 3) D620 Xpro, Core 2 Duo 4) just purchase another C640 Gaming: I really only play CMBB, CMAK, but might purchase TOW here in near future. I also play The Campaign Series ( WWII Platoon Level purchased from Matrix ), and older games from the late 90s such as Panzer General 2 & Squad Leader. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx Joe

CM Normandy is just another terrain & building mod that is suppose to better reflect what Normandy is like ( the mod will have greener grass, and different buildings then CMETO ). CMETO better reflects battles after Normandy in France ( After the breakout - From Fall thru to Germany ). Now, if you really want to better reflect Fall battles in NWE ( I havent done this, but ofcourse requires you to download yet another copy, and call it 'CMETO-Fall ' if you will ) use CMBB fall trees & bases I personally just use CMETO as I only want one copy of CMAK in my computer for all battles from the Med to Germany. So basically, CMAK - for battles in the Med, CM Normandy - for battles in Normandy, CMETO-Fall ( optional, only if you like to do- if you like to add fall trees & bases ) CMETO - For battles after Normandy. Hey Mike, You actually didn't do anything wrong, However, you will need to do one of the processes below in order to get those vehicles. This is because CMAK is intended for the Mediteranian theater, and therfore many vehicles didnt see action until much later in 44' early 45'. 1 ) Use the QB - but will need to set the time to Italy, May 45' in order to get those vehicles closest to the Normandy battlefield and temp setting ( it will show cool temp, but nothing you can do to change that ). The cool weather works great for NWE Fall 44' battles. If you want to have NWE Winter battles, you can purchase some of these vehicles in December 44' - Jan 45' setting, and it will work perfect ( with or without snow ). 2 ) Use the Scenario Editor to create your own battles - purchase your Firefly as I believe they arrive in Italy, Oct 44' not sure about the AC, but check exact month. Now go back to parameters and change the month to July. You will now have these vehicles show up for your Normandy battles. Do the same process for some of your Fall 44' battles. By Winter 44' most of the vehicles show up anyways on both NWE and Italy so not much change is needed. Joe

I also use the CMETO mod. However, I decided to use the old CMAK green grass for the Summer battles, and the CMETO green/yellow grass for late Fall, Winter battles. This is accomplished by loading CMAK again, and in affect having two CMAK games on your computer.

Looking for opponents to regularly play CMBB - CMAK IP games. I live in the U.S. ( Eastern Time Zone ) and available most days during the week including Sunday from around 8 pm till about 10 pm. M4A3E8, and a few rounds of HVAP or APCR. Was going to add the M4A3E2 with 76, but the added armor that slows it down doesnt make for a good all around tank.

Please ! No 1 to 1 Infantry representation on the field; I prefer how CMx1 handles that now. However, a different way of combat other then just fire-points may be in order. like in CMx1, I still like to see Company up to Battalion size engagements. Joe

Yes, the unfortunate problem with CMAK...Both guns are damaged. If coming up with a problem like this; Use Area-Fire, and see if the pop-up will ask you to use Main Gun or not.
