  1. Sequoia made a mod for the French with Greek flags etc. Edit: Work in progress. I'll check with him tomorrow. [ August 18, 2006, 11:23 PM: Message edited by: junk2drive ]
  2. If you are talking about the UI, it is by Tarkus and at cmmods. I'll ignore your sig...
  3. The original TSD files are in zips at cmmods Look under designer birdgunner for CMAK and CMBO, padivine for CMBB.
  4. A search of the Drop Team forum shows 8 posts for MikeyD. You seem to have been leaning toward the WWII mod for Drop Team on a new Mac. Thanks for the update. We all appreciate your hard work up to now. Can't you just buy a used PC for CM?
  5. Do they have turns and PBEM? Or just happen to be West Front themed?
  6. Maybe they already tried all of these building suggestions and it didn't work well.
  7. I knew a Cow Grog would be along soon with a disturbing level of information </font>
  8. When you click on a unit you get an info window. In BB and AK on the right is a picture of the terrain that the unit is in. If you click on an enemy unit or last seen marker, and the picture is gone, the unit is dead.
  9. Sorry I had at least one paragraph that was generic. @thewood, email sent.
  10. Thank you for being civil. I have to agree somewhat with some of your points. I am spoiled by CM's editors and modability. I never tried doing anything with a game other than playing until CM. I can see the potential with ToW and PC. AFA xml with PC, I googled for xml tutorial, found a .org, did some trial and error, and played a modified battle within a few hours. bmp and dds graphic skins are similar to other games and the artistic types will have fun. The guy that made the scenario editor surprised everyone. A similar thing happened with SPWAW recently and that game has been around forever. It just takes someone with the skills and desire to put it together. That aint me, lol. My hope for all games is to have some user friendly tools to make the game worth more than few hours of playtime. Whether we can all use those tools or not is up to the game maker. IMO their future as niche businesses depends on it.
  11. And if they didn't give you the ability to create you would be crying that the game has no replay value. Game makers can't win...
  12. When you get to the end of the battle you get the AAR screen with the totals for both sides. That autosave file can be picked when you create a QB. Try it and you will see.
  13. When I read that you can sit back and watch the AI play for you the first thing I thought of was TC2M with a pause to issue orders. Doesn't matter, I can't get enough computer for a couple of years.
  14. Especially a PITA with infantry mods. How many times I have had to make additional mods to cover the mis-IDed units that appear in game.
  15. I played as USA vs DavidI. He kicked my butt. A bit too tough for the US IMO.
  16. http://www.the-scenario-depot.com/ Look for HSG-N or HSG N There are others but those are the easiest to find with a search.
  17. I do. I enjoy the "CM lite" feel. I have a mod at cmmods for CMAK that replaces some of the summer terrain with fall features. Use McMMM to swap it in and out. You will need a grass mod such as Eichenbaum's CMBB OSF or DD's CMBB grass to complete the look.
  18. Panzer Command needs a MikeyD to mod it's AFVs. Each unit is on one bmp. Then convert to a dds. Anyone interested?
  19. I modded Clubfoot's Omaha mod for CMAK a long time ago when I was new to modding. It is at cmmods.
  20. Animal?? but in the food chain, I am prey
  21. I think so. Let's see what the scenario making people can do. The art is good enough but the modders are gonna have a blast. I'll still be playing CM too.
