I have a problem launching CMBB. Black screen, error beep, alt tab out shows error message. It seems to stem from having Mcafee online viruscan. The first time I fought it, an error message popped up "nt on access scanner service" encountered a problem and needs to close. Ah-ha I exit Mcafee in sys tray first. It worked for a while. Today it didn't. Tried and tried to get CM started then poof, nt... again. Mcafee webhelp says conflict with pccillin, but I don't have it. Any one savy with better way to shut down Mcafee? BTW CDV SE version.

I dl'd and applied to my cmbb, hope it works. hated the sticks too

cd's are cheap. use 2 or 3 if u have to. dvd's will be next. read only drives are cheap in the u.s. why not make a pay for download available? like an add on. $10-20 for all the stuff some people want. others can buy later as funds allow if they have to have it. lack of time is the only excuse for not including things that already exist. JMHO

Last night in CMBB I noticed two squads crawling uphill, away from the enemy. When I checked my HMG I had him area fire on those squads! No wonder they panicked! lol

also check out www.pcmech.com forums. current ati recommendation is 9600 pro for value. all brands seem to cause some problems sooner or later.

I bought CMBB and will buy CMAK because of EYSA. I finally got a video card because Blitzkreig, CL, CM, EYSA etc require it. As a fan of SP and CC I was looking for the next step. I no longer play RTS in general. Too much stress for me. The wego system is great for me. I understand and appreciate the fact that the game features are kept simple to play on lower end computers and enhance gameplay. We all cant afford an Alienware type box. But I can afford a $40-60 game that runs on a mid range machine. Kuddos to BFC for thinking of this.

Now that cmak demo is here,is there an easy way to find which bmp# go with soviet soldiers etc? the flags are pretty easy to find. I made copies of cmbb and cmak bmp folders. (win xp makes this so easy)Plan was to overwrite bmps, swap bmp folders in cmbb, make battle with winter, m3 tanks and halftracks etc etc...

go to cm mod database search for pakfan interface mods alpha bravo and charlie us version if u want english. previews are aval. i use alpha, nice camo effect. also at chris' cm database is a green mod but havnt tried it yet.

sorry, there is no read me with the zip. do i unzip into my quick battles maps folder? the manual says operation maps cannot be imported????? newbie thanx

Thanks for the mod. Has anyone ever found out which sounds go with which events? as in is there a list of events with wav numbers?

just looked at the wargamer's games depot. top downloads in the last thirty days are wild bill's spwaw pacific scen's i think pac front and usmc anzac is a very popular theme in wargaming some islands dont have jungles, especially after heavy bombardment.

after converting, i tried some wav's in wmp9. some wouldn't work. tried the original #'s, they didnt work. tried the same #'s with real one player and they do work! what does the game use??

Turn off your anti virus. mcafee had me in fits for three days thinking i had a bad cd-rom drive. i kept getting weird noises from the drive, black screen, error c0000005, finally got a message saying NT "something" scanner service was having a problem and needed to close. it was part of mcafee in the background. searched the forum for mcafee and found more problems. now i turn it off first and no more problem.
