I am currently playing campaigns:
WinSPWW2, US Army vs Japan
WinSPMBT, Egypt vs Israel
I finished the Panzer Command OWS campaign from the Soviet side.
None of the above have the operational layer of CMC though.
Actually I was trying to be helpful.
To the right of your forum name is an icon of a paper and pencil. Hover your mouse pointer over it and a tool tip pops up showing edit/delete post. IIRC you can edit the title of your thread.
Is that better Shmavis?
Byte Battles
See the thread in Scenarios forum,
I wish it was Der Kessel
Edit: I can't find the Byte Battles.

From the readme for Captain Wacky's CW_Tracers mod:
"Rename the .bmps you want to install.
300.bmp is Axis
301.bmp is Allies
After you've done this, paste the files into your CMBB/BMP directory. When it asks if you want to overwrite the existing files, click "yes to all."

FWIW all the research is a waste if the battle doesn't work. I have read some stories that I thought would make a good battle only to find that CM won't do what I want it to do.
I can research the artist and the paint colours but if my finished painting looks like a Picasso it ain't the Mona Lisa...
I prefer scens that have contact within 5 turns. I hate the ones that start with my units under fire.
Some people are used to boardgames or something and like to plan out a strategy and manouver around for many turns. They complain when a designer does not give them enough turns to move into position.
Good thing this is all free.
And license plates with PZV or AFV or...
Watching a CG cartoon with the grandsons about some Irish pigs on a farm. I'm thinking "who's sky does that look like, that fence wall would look great in Sealion, that house has nifty rock and mortar textures..."
