  1. spwaw scen makers started naming their scens "h2h" "2player" "pbem" etc because of the confusion. if you look at battles in the scenario depot at least they recommend best played as and 2nd best. you could rename them after, as pbem-whatevername.
  2. dawg, there are italian winter armor mods on the cmbb cdv 2nd cd. they might be at cmhq. they are for cmmos and cmbb. the pain is to extract them and then remove the letters. might work. do a backup. see my other threads about winter stuff.
  3. I downloaded that on yesterday. I was reluctant to unzip and remove all the extentions, just to find out if it looks good or bad. but i have no life so curiosity will get me soon. new battle at csdt gives me the incentive.

The cmbo stripped terrain shown in screenie at your site is still out there. i have it. its called "All TBM Winter". might work if you really want that bo feeling. edit I added MikeyD's cmbb dirt on snow road mod to this scen. To those of you who have the CDV se edition of CMBB like I do. in the Stand alone mod file on the second cd, are Andrew's German uniform mods. since cmak does not come with winter bmps i unzipped the late war unis into cmak. so far they seem to work. next to try some armor mods. *warning* if you dont know how to fix the bmp files, dont mess with it. dont start unzipping things unless you have a backup of your files. I also have zipped cmbo lighter color blue water bmps for mcmmm to swap for that bo feeling. anyone want them on cmmos? edit, Russian unis dont work. Andrew's nashorn works. The cmmos zips for winter german armor is working if i add numbers and remove extentions. MikeyD's pak guns work, with numbers added. [ February 08, 2004, 01:14 PM: Message edited by: junk2drive ]

  7. Played the demo as axis. when i got the full game, i increased the allies 50%. if you have enough stuff you can always win, lol
  8. Now at CMMODS A snowy winter jeep from cmbo and Dave Molinarolo's US45 v1.2 usa uniforms, renumbered for CMAK. I painted the hands black for gloves. If you want to try other versions of jeeps or unis, they are at CMHQ in the cmbo mods.

  10. what a coincedence, i went to zimorodoks site today and clicked on your link for the first time. beatiful models you have there. i wondered how bfc made such a jump in graphics when i was comparing bmps for mg carriers between bo and bb and ak on side view tracks. great work, thanks for the effort

Captain wacky did a sound mod a while back that came with mpeg suite sound convertor. it worked for me, once i figured it out. once they are wav files, you need to check that they are like the specs in the other thread on the forum, look around or do a search. I did a random check on a couple of wavs, if ok then install. if any sound funny later in the game,you may have to go through each wav with sound recorder to find the bad one.
  12. Now at CMMODS Gordon Molek's whitewash and snow M7 priest altered for cmak. It's not perfect, but it will do for now. Maybe Wickey will redo it. There is one bmp in green that I cant find, it shows up behind the cannon. all in all not bad and goes great with Wicky's winter armor. GEM winter usff truck works too, see my post in Wicky's thread for details.
  13. best to do is try them *warning* if you know computers and what to do. bmp numbers are generally different so you cant just plop one in. sizes are usually different so some times the stretch doesnt look right. sometimes things dont line up quite right and cant be fixed. i have had to make new bmps from what i have when bo only used 5 tiles and cmak uses 10 for the same tank etc. see my post on normandy utah beach and winter armor by wicky. I have 2 installs of cmbb and three or four copies of the cmak bmp folder just in case i goof things up. but i have the space on my hard drive.
  14. registering is like shaving, dont like it, dont do it everday, but sooner than later i have to. it is well worth it if you want your game to look better.

Finally loaded, got a peek. omg looks like you built models, sprinkled with powder and took a picture. fantastic. great news, gordon molek's usff winter trucks for cmbo looks great too. unzip your choice, us or ff, with or without star and rename as follows: 63040,63041,63042,63043,63044,63045,63046. make a second copy of 13286 wheel, rename 63051. side note, you cannot add a 5 to the bmp like i thought. you must add 13040 + 50000 = 63040. i also added from cmbo bergmans allied tracks with rubber blocks 4023us bloc to 4038, 4024us bloc to 4039 and 4025us bloc to 4040. they work fine and look good on your mod. thanks to all and cmhq for holding these oldies. until Andrew make some uni mods for us, bmp 848 shrunk to 128x128 renumbered 9608 makes a white helmet cover.   16. i only have an amd duron bargin 1.2 with generic 512ram and an ati radeon 7000 64mb ddr. so far even big ops in bad weather on cmbb or ak the thinking phase has been really quick compared to say enemy turn phase in sp series. i tried cmbo demo way back with onboard graphics and it was horrible. might have somrthing to do with having an 80 gig 7200 rpm hard drive, three partitions, so virtual memory has lots of room to swap files. winxp doesnt like less than 512. lots of programs these days auto check for updates and slow you down secretly. antivirus especially. pretty new video card doesnt mean its powerfull enough, or that its set up right.
  17. i once had a US 3 squad platoon shoot it out with four italian squads. in the replay the italians took off running. i thought ah-ha go after em next turn. all my squads showed low ammo. darn

Thanks for the info on the info. i like to try cmbo stuff, you never know what might work. sometimes just a stretch and a pink paintbrush will fix the prob. or sometimes the pinkies are not bad enough to bother me. sometime bo has 5 bmps and bb or ak has 10 for an item. i have made some things work just by duplicating a bmp and resizing it to what im missing.

  21. my first attempt stuck at 17.2mb of 17.4 then second attempt it worked ok. info doc wont open, icon looks like a file or app, not txt. bmp numbers are not in original bmp file so i assume i dont have to use a mod mgr? just install? if true i can install some old cmbo winter mods.

  23. Reminder, it's only a game. I think the point here is if we simulate things with this game such as how the troops got to the battlefield, 3men equals 12 man squad, how that field gun got up the hill, etc. why cant we simulate the spotter getting quickly to where he needs to be.
