  1. Call them camel drivers for all i care! I want to use bmp number 9xxx through 9xxx in a scenario. What date and location do i have to use. Does weather or terrain effect choices.
  2. Regardless of historical fact, BFC put airborne units in the bmps. Both in uniforms and portrait slots. If I pick Italy or all combined after 5/44, allied, infantry, all I get are regular or mech or mountain, which all use the same bmps.
  3. There are uniform bmps, portrait bmps, but i'll be darned if I can make a battle with Airborne after 5/44. Is it a QB or Op only thing?

  6. Yep, stock bmps. Trying to unstock them. Here's what happens when i change them to partisan from cmbb. I only changed the torso bmp. Nice mittens!
  7. Well I don't know the bmps, but the cose is using torsos for arms and legs. The chest medals are visable on the legs. I can change the torso, but to what? Andrew, mod this, lol
  8. mudd, there are no adults named "runs with scissors" other peeves, i before e, ys ies pluralisms. dyslexic would spell does as boes, nothing to do with spelling it duz.
  9. The German paras in this battle, have biker dude outfits. Short pants with leather laces. I cant find the bmps anywhere! I went through the bmps 10 times. Anyone have an idea? Are there hidden bmps?

  11. What to do when the terrain rises and falls, your fo cant see far enough ahead to where you placed your trp? I played an op as russians, by the time i moved my spotters forward, fire arrival was after the end of battle.
  12. depends on what you know about computers. imo cmmos is easy to handle for the avg joe. but the mod has to be done for it. mcmmm works for me, but i know what i'm doing and what i screwed up and how to fix it without reinstalling the game. for what i'm doing mcmmm gives me the flexablity i want and i can use my own or anybody elses mod as is. example; in cmbb i set up a pacific island battle. this time i want us army as russian guards. later i want usmc as same guard bmp numbers. with zip files for each and mcmmm i can switch as i want.
  13. In unit portraits, is there ever a private used? It seem corporal is the lowest.
  14. FWIW in cmbb from 5113 up russians have neck collars. they are used in later years. that is why my asian faces worked for axis troops in some battles (late) but everyone had asian faces in others (early). Havent found cutoff point yet.
  15. the engine decide what # face to use? I made asian faces 5100-5113. works fine for axis in 44. in 41 both allied and axis get asian faces. ok for shanghi, but not for islands.

  17. So yes and no, lol. Back to recon, should one assume that if there is a truck, there is something near? should you take out trucks in ops? when you see trucks in a battle or op, should you assume there are troops embarked?
  18. Hey while were at it, I need rice paddy bmps. and black lava rock walls.
  19. If i do a scen with the enemy ai, giving it a AT gun and a transport vehicle, will the ai use the truck to move the gun? or am i wasting points on trucks? I did a scen with two paks and two sdkf trucks. the ai placed the guns very well in woods but the trucks were close by. should this intel be used? if you see a truck, a gun is near?   22. hello former sp player. this is again different from other wargames. it is done for play balance. the trick is to get something, i.e. spotter, flamethrower, tank hunter, closer without getting them killed. not easy imo. you cannot find the enemy, then pummel them to win like sp. on first turn you can set prebombardment target. see manual. if you are russians it may be off target, late or not at all. planes are like sp, they bomb their own,lol
  23. adamo, i assume you got your game to work. cmak files are .cmg and .cmh so if you dl something you are not sure which game it is for, you can check the extention. the SE version comes with scens that are available online, just on cd instead of dl'ing
  24. Anyone from the CC community knows its up to them to get anything new from that engine. They couldnt get the source code, now they are playing with CCclone engine, open source. If BFC doesnt have the time to do any new stuff with CM, they could give all but the game engine to one of the modders/testers that helped with cmak. Then the cm community could work together to make free mods. 15k members in this forum would probably buy add-ons or mod packs at $10-20
