Heh...I didn't get a win till turn 43. Had to kill one last panzer.

How did you beat Fruhlingshwind? I got extremely lucky and took out the Panzers before they did any damage, then launched a counterattack sending my shermans and infantry up both sides, with a stronghold in the middle. Total Victory. I feel happy.

Hmm...maybe it's just a year thing? In the Frhulingshwinger (or something like that, the demo one) I could barely kill about 4 M1A3s (well it had an M and a 3....), and this was with about 10 panzers.

Well, they would have trouble with the game-hooves don't work well.

*sneeze* Define "kid"....

Right. Just no gamespy.

Gamespy would not work. There's not point to having a setup like that when you're not really jumping around thousands of servers a day. Besides, wouldn't gamespy require a licenense of sorts? *scratches head*

We had 3 scenarios in the demo-Yelnia, "Panzers Break Through", and the tutorial. Yelnia was the best of them.

Or attempt to charge-the enemy might panic, you never no.

I played this in the demo earlier, and I was wondering how some of you old hands beat it. I started it with the default setup and sent everything I had straight forward. I wasn't paying much attention to my left side, so I didn't notice the complete failure of my tactics over there. My tanks on the right and middle advanced slowly, and took out the guns. Eventually I finished off the units on the right side and noticed that I was till losing-even with one flag in my posession and (what I believed) minimal losses. Turns out my left flank had been pinned down by a handful of soldiers (7-8 groups of conscripts, 3-4 groups of Nazis....) and I couldn't bring them forward-I eventually had to go infantry-killing with my tanks. I might have ended up with a draw if the guns had taken out even 2 of my tanks... What did you do?

Still-at least half the space was always wasted.

Downloaded the demo a few days ago, after finding out Empire Deluxe wasn't what I wanted, and like to state that this is a great game. Very great game. Like jumping and screaming at the monitor great game. All the scenarios seem to be well done, and it seems to me to be very realistic. Yelnia Stare was a good scenario-especially since I had to come back from my infantry being completely pinned down to an all-out assault...thank god for T-34s. Just saying that it was a good game. etc. Will attempt to get.
