Why wasn't T-34 hull front upgraded?
Denwad replied to Sergei's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
umm doesn't it go from 45mm to 70mm in 1943? -
I love buying Pak-36's for ~40 points, if it can take out just one enemy tank it's great. They're awesome for taking out heavy tanks with HEAT and they can attack light scout cars with AP rounds.
-
=O a mac user! Sorry about that, I had assumed you were a PC user, someone who could upgrade cheaply and easily every few years...

The G-41(M) was a total disaster, ~1200 were returned by the Wehrmacht as unservicable. The G-41(W) was much better weapon, and continued in use though the war and manufacture though 1944. The G-41(W) was a much better made weapon then the G-43, it only suffered from the Bang gas system, which was prone to being clogged by dirt. Perhaps in CMx2 we can have a percentage chance of either or both rifles showing up in a squad. Perhaps changing with the region's availablility (really low chance for G-41/43's in the lapland area).

^ dude BFC can't support ancient technology anymore! seriously dude, upgrade! www.Ibuypower.com you don't have to spend 2000 dollars!!! you can get a decent comp for ~700

there were supposed to be 2 k/g-43 per squad, one scoped and one unscoped.

I recently watched the ZDF documentary "Der Jahrhundertkreig" on Stalingrad and a luftwaffe pilot said that there were some parts of the front that were undefended.

dunno looks like Panzergrenadiers to me... I realize that some of the necks look odd, that's a limitation of the Operation Flashpoint engine. BTW Operation Flashpoint has small islands of 12x12km as the 'maps', it's definetly not a shoebox game Infact there are some community modifications that allow you to control a company with a modified radio interface, but it's really clunky. Operation Flashpoint isn't a run and gun game like MOHAA, if you try to be rambo in OFP you'll get shot really fast Unfortunately it's an infantry simulator first, armor takes a big backseat, they're horribly difficult to control easily and they have a hitpoint model :/ [ July 20, 2004, 01:03 AM: Message edited by: Denwad ]

Perhaps you don't understand. I want to see ALL of my 500+ soldiers in my batallion! I want to see the runners of my battalion HQ recieve their orders and then actually run to the company HQ's etc. etc.

oh yeah push it BFC, you know you want to. * photo courtesy of Jojimbo at www.inv44.com

* Individual soldiers modelled, each one with his own morale/intelligence (see:Close Combat series) with the option to toggle the regular 3 soldier graphic, as to spare the troglodites I say intelligence because in CC i was very frustrated with idle soldiers. If the leader is still alive *all* the soldiers in the squad should attempt to fire on the enemy. * After a battle/operation have the option to save it as a movie such as the ability to render it in ultra-highres graphics * Include kickass special effects for said movies [ July 15, 2004, 05:54 PM: Message edited by: Denwad ]

I really do want to play....

it's spelled NOT spelt. -
defensive grenades rely on large amounts of shrapnel. The Mills, Pineapple and F-1 are examples of this. offensive grenades rely on concussion. STiG-24 and the Of-37

Question on French platoon anti-tank defense
Denwad replied to Hans's topic in Combat Mission - Scenario Talk
There was a HEAT grenade for the V.B. launcher, infact it was developed into the Bazooka's rocket. However, I don't believe it was deployed during the BOF. -
Pavlov, that wasn't even a real Tiger in the movie. IRL the captain would have seriously injured himself because there is a 94mm glass block designed to stop nasty bullets and shrapnel from entering.

captured PPSH-41 I believe. I'm guessing because of the ® designation means Russich, or Russian in english. [ July 03, 2004, 05:41 AM: Message edited by: Denwad ] -

Denwad replied to Thin Red Line's topic in Combat Mission: Barbarossa to Berlin
