  1. Looks like you guys have put your sweat and love into it. I'm really looking forward to this, even if I've never completed a campaign to date... Hell, I always start them! Hey, do all the NATO campaigns have flow charts like that one? Would be great to see them.
  2. Oh go on! Post it on the general forum, I could do with a good chuckle.
  3. Would like to try out the demo missions. One as the russkies, one as the Afghans. Send me a PM to get in touch if you're up for it.
  4. Unless of course you don't intend to buy CMA, then you get a fresh look to your favorite ol' CMSF game - hypothetically speaking of course
  5. It seems you ported a vehicle in CMA to CMSF, is that right? Wouldn't it be that only the skin changes and the truck would keep the characteristics of the pickup? If it works I can't imagine this 'feature' lasting long... but we can only hope!
  6. Woooo. Thanks for the headsup. In CM terms the Milan's minimum 400m range is a bit of handicap, from my experience trying to use the AT-3 with minimum range of 500m. Quite frustrating when the scenario gives you some of these toys, and then you find because of the available ranges of the map that you can't use them. Take note scenario designers!
  7. Game on! Just sent you a private message with contact details.
  8. Wow, post war conflict! Looking forward to trying it out
  9. Wait until CMSF2. Apparently that will include Chinese and Russian armed forces. Edit to add: Actually, don't feel constrained by Red v Blue battles. Some of the most fun are Red vs Red, and now that we have five blue sides (six including marines) you can let your imagination run wild in creating a Europe vs Americas scenarios.
  10. Well just imagine how long it would take if the new engine was not in place...:eek::eek:
  11. My military wet dream! Chieftains, M60s, Sheridans, early Abrams and Leo IIs facing off against T72, T80 etc... Just need to find a plausible excuse for the non-use of NBC weapons. Edit to add: yeah a post war game would also make my juices run: Centurions vs T54s etc Why hasn't a CM-like game come out for these sorts of scenarios? I'm sure with European translations the market would be big enough to sustain it.
  12. One thing I cannot report on in this latest incidence is whether they are exhausted or not, since this is a PBEM and my opponent's troops who are doing their magical disappearing act.
  13. Arggh! Those Syrians always seem to find a way to escape! Note the bloodthirsty Marine in the window, just waiting to nail him? But what happens? The cunning Syrians just walk through the wall!? File available if this is an unknown issue.
  14. yeah wouldn't it be great if we could get different sounds of the aircraft as they zip around... no wait, they sound pretty much the same don't they? Perhaps the Soviet aircraft sounds will also be ported over (if they are different). SDP: Was it? An unexpressed point maybe. I thought you were commenting on the existence of the Su-25 in a game about Syria even though Syria doesn't operate them, not about ordinance at all. No big deal, a minor point in a minor thread.
  15. Its because the air support has been ported over from the Afghanistan module. Moon or somebody said they put air support in for Red vs Red scenarios, nothing to do with simulated-historical realism. In similar spirit to the T90s they gave us, I guess. Edit to add: akd beat me to it by 2 minutes.
  16. Its correct. It refers to 'frogfoot'
  17. Yes, "Strength and Faith" a highly recommended PBEMable game, that one.
  18. Did you read this superb DAR by Hcrof? IIRC he made the scenario available. If you've joined up at World at War, they have a scenario pack which includes at least one balanced Red vs Red scenario.
  19. "Eid Offensive" is the most fun I've had in a PBEM in CMSF so far. The more experienced player should attack. Don't think its historical, but so what? Damn fine battle that went down to the wire.
  20. I can feel CM:NATO getting closer....
  21. Nice one! Are all the CM games lumped together? IMHO you should at least keep the CMX1 series games CMAK CMBB and CMBO separate from the CMX2 games, SF Marines, Brits, NATO (when it is finally released).
  22. While on the subject of book sellers, The Book Depository has free postage world wide. Just got my first few books, ordered on the 15th, at my door by the 27th (UK to Sth Korea).
  23. Maybe part of the problem is that the guy in the screenshot look even smaller because he appears to be too far down the hatch. The commanders in the photos appear to have their hips about level with the hatch, whereas the BFT guy seems to have sunk down to about midrift level.
  24. actually the search 'zimmerman' is the one to use. Somehow it doesn't like your first name.
  25. Hey Scipo, long time no play! I clicked your link and I get 'access forbidden'. I tried to search for your icons on the repository under 'Scipo' and 'Peter; (search 'author') Nothing! Are you playing hard to get?
