At first I wondered what MikeyD was talking about, when viewing the clip of the challenger at the show. You don't get a real appreciation of the awful grinding marbles until after 2:14 in the clip, when the scene changes. That is serious noise pollution.

Yikes! So how is the accuracy of the warrior's main gun compared to say, a Bradley, BMP-3, BMP-1/2? On a par with the BMP2, I would hazard to guess... (given equal quality crews)

I went to the 'worthplaying' site to download, where I chose the US mirror. Unfortunately it downloads the CM + Marines 1.11 demo. BFT please fix!

Ah, somehow I ended up downloading the 1.11 marines demo instead of the Brits. Maybe my cockup, maybe the link is wrong...

hmm downloading from the mirror as we speak, though am a bit worried, as the dl properties state that its a 361MB file, whereas BFT states its 470MB... maybe corrupted? We'll see in 5min time.

If we're really lucky the Peng will quickly and painlessly transfer itself to the new forum, leaving this one mercifully free... at least that's what happened to the CMx1 forums when this one opened up.

Just so that we get this sorted out before 1.2 comes out (presumably this week... right?). On some patches in the past it was a case of just changing the name of the previous version's exe file and using that to continue the PBEMS. However it looks like with the new animations, fixes and so on its going to be a case of having to have two complete installs of CMSF on our hard drives, 1.11 and 1.2. in order to continue our PBEMs right? If this is the case, what is the procedure? Before patching copy all the CMSF 1.11 files into a new folder "CMSF 1.11" then patch the original folder? Can anyone confirm?

Well, perhaps the T80 could have been plausibly included - wiki (font of all knowledge) lists Syria as having bought 320 T80Us in 2000 (however, in their page on the Syrian Army there is no mention of this tank type). Yeah, I would have liked to see at least a couple more Red units, just for the sakes of balance. Blue has all this new stuff, why not give some more toys to Red? Won't stop me from being among the first to get the module though.

I predict that the refresh primates will have to keep refreshing until Friday. Otherwise the impact of several million AWOL employees around the world could have an unforeseen impact on an already enfeebled economy. Save the economy! Release it on Friday!
