Play testers CM: BN CW tournament game
Nelson 1812 replied to Nelson 1812's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Reaching Tilly's Junction, Wittmann then came upon the three Stuarts from the recce troop. The Tiger’s 88mm gun fired, the crew survived and bailed out. The second Stuart was turned into an inferno, and the third was also blown up. Increased map size to 976 x 1008. N175 now as a highway. Using less foliage. Screenshot and some information. (Fictitious Battle an hour so after Wittmann had passed through Tilly's Junction.) -

Pre-orders ready for CMBN- Market Garden
Nelson 1812 replied to Waycool's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Always preferred the hard-copy... From memory CM:BN CW ended up costing me £70.00 ($105.00)... not bothered to much by the tax, VAT, shipping... but the handling fee on top was the last straw. -

Sorry...Seem I was confused in thinking Pz Lehr were SS units! Notes from the web... Standard uniform for Pz Lehr grenadiers was the assault gun wrap (in green) with/or a spinter smock, and a splinter helmet cover. 901st Pz Lehr its Assault gun wrap (dont forget pz lehr shoulder boards have the embroidered L on them) , Assault gun or M43 trousers, splinter smock, splinter helm cover (optional). Another unique feature of this formation was that its panzergrenadiers for a large part were dressed in the grey, short, double- breasted tunic similar to the one worn by Sturmgeschütze- units, instead of the standard M1942 tunic worn by other German Army (Heer) units.

Love your work baron... what mod would recommend for Panzer Lehr Division units?

Maybe... but I think Wittmann was wise enough to have kept to the N175, rather than battle the country side. From what I have seen of RAF Ariel photos, there were a lot of orchards on both sides of the N175. An after thought, is could the tigers pretty much roll through bocage, due to there size and weight... track marks indicate they certainly were running along side the N175. This H2H tournament map is being played out at the Band of Brothers, currently, the forces for the axis infantry reduced. The reason for this being the AI does not split its forces, and the squads become more cannon fodder. Have redone and still working on round two map (Tilleys corner from memory), of the tournament increased the road size to a highway. Still a lot of work to do on it, but hope to put in another AI game. Great photo's thanks

Operation Market Garden announced!
Nelson 1812 replied to PanzerMike's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Will these editor features now become available when purchased in CM:BN CW? too? Will all maps be transferable within the CM:BN group, or should the games be kept separate, to the different version. -

The start of actual news
Nelson 1812 replied to Battlefront.com's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Not having any knowledge of programming, I would like to see an insert key to increase the size of existing maps... often build a map and would later liked to have increased a fields size, or to added a street etc. -

Smoke, used in an attack
Nelson 1812 replied to DavidFields's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Is there a scenario where smoke is vital, and do you use it often on the attack? Quote Kwiw Soldiers, on CMFI:GL is a tease with the AI, where smoke is needed. Small scenario on base game. Cannot think of a CMBN game off hand. Find I using more infantry smoke grenades now... and winning more.
