  1. Also forgot to mention it was within a bocage line on original posting. Sorry.
  2. Hi Pete Easy test... just run bocage across an empty map, place a (1) hedge tile within it and just a light forest on the hedge tile for flooring. Then try to run a tiger through it. (I also left a opening gap at the opposite end of the bocage, in my tests). The tigers will drive through 2 tiles joined (hedge and light forest) within a bocage line ... but even then one out of the 6 tigers I was using went and found another route. Also perhaps it is a good idea to leave a gap right at the other end of the bocage to give the tiger a choice, as this was something I include. Will try it without the gap later.
  3. Sorry for any confusion, but it was for any infantry. I placed the SS in brackets with a question mark as to include them.
  4. Noticed in a game recently that a light forest tile (?), with a single hedge tile on it, will not allow the tank to proceed via that route but will send it scouting for another way round. Tested this out ... and this seems always the case. (Tiger tank)
  5. Thanks Guys... Jim1954a (Bobs) also came up with this thread. http://www.feldgrau.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=27940
  6. Interested to know what German (SS?) infantry played a part in the villers- bocage, along side Whittmann's attack on point 213... and then later throughout that day. Read pages, but cannot find much on the Germany infantry, for that day. Thanks for the help.
  7. After further testing on "hotseat", vehicles, crews and teams all made it across to the island and scored the points, without the file crashing. It appears to be random, as to the "crashdump" happening. I could not re-create it on the above testing. Will repost scenario after BF comments on the ticket.
  8. Crashdump problems............ Some problems have arisen, that appear to cause the file to crash (crash dumps), either on the move or on your opponents next move. If you attempt to cross the bridge to the island to gain the points “save the file” prior to sending via E-mail save. Should the file crash, either on your move or your opponents, open saved file and delete crossing. On testing the game, vehicles and infantry crossed to gain the points, successfully. In the tournament the game has crashed when squad of pioneers, and the crew of a vehicle, attempted the crossing. Removed file to edit.
  9. Overlooked Brief note: Time 50 mins. Needs CMBN Commonwealth, not a base game. Meeting Engagement between British forces and the Luftwaffe, supported by German Army's armour. The objective is to maintain and secure the area in addition to taking the bridge at Pont La DeCross. Note: Scenario built for the “Mediums Plus Tournament”, over at Band of Brothers. More details concerning this scenario played in the tournament can be found here: http://webandofbrothers.yuku.com/forums/110/CMBN-CW-Medium-Plus-Tournament
  10. Quick note: Scenario built for the “Mediums Plus Tournament”, over at Band of Brothers. More details concerning this scenario played in the tournament can be found here: http://webandofbrothers.yuku.com/forums/110/CMBN-CW-Medium-Plus-Tournament This scenario unfortunately was released at the same time as version CM:BN v2.0 and so contained the ford bug. Since the tournament release, version v2.1 has been released and so the bug no longer interferes with the game. In addition the map has been amended.
  11. Be good if they were on a toggle... or "alt command".
  12. And while on the subject of colour ... is there any chance of the Covered Arc being made less ... psychedelic ? Quote Baneman Your right there!

  14. Think there are three main clubs... BoBs, FGM, and the Blitz, for "others" not competing in any of the clubs have an open's tournament here at Battlefront if they allow it. Top three from the four leagues, 12 players in all, battle for the cup. That's if all the clubs participate.
  15. Here is an idea for you... what about a tournament then encompasses the clubs... say for The Battlefront CMFI cup, for example. The participating clubs run a couple games, select the top 3-4 players then have a tournament between them all here on the battlefront CMFI forum. Top player wins cup for club.
  16. Always good to join some of the clubs out there: Few Good Men: http://www.thefewgoodmen.com/ Band of Brothers:http://webandofbrothers.yuku.com/ and the Blitz.... Most will play with the latest version of CM:BN 2.01 though.
  17. It would be nice to see the points, as although not necessary for the scenario, it is a good guide to balance a game, especially for unit type (Elite-greens), and game category (ME, probe, attack, assault.) Although, most this does get ironed out in the testing, it would, in my opinion give a person who is new to scenarios building more confidence, and in tournament games ensures balance. Historically it helps too, with rarity values. Do not build many scenarios, and so I would like to see the points included.
  18. 1939-40 would be great... Dutch, Belgium,Poles, French, Brits... could be commercial. Perhaps even the Spanish civil war could be included. Would the vehicles be different for that?
  19. Eastern Front MG GL Perhaps they will arrival like buses in the UK., three at once. That will be nice.
  20. Perhaps the commander had a stutter... and was going to say... shoot! But it came out as sh..!
  21. Always good to check in the scenario editor, type of game, on the data, whether there are variable moves or not. Easily changed while your there. This goes for any QB map, as it is annoying to battle through a map... with no thoughts of playing on in variable time.
  22. Holien Senior Member Just trying to find this scenario it is listed as being a WBoB tourney game and well balanced. MP1 TournamentVire Anyone know of a place where I can download it from? My Google Fu is failing me... Sorry missed this... posted at FGM, under the name of "Vire"
  23. I have not built any new scenarios since the release of 2.00. My last scenario was a tournament game at Bobs... built a few months before the release of 2.00, then waited a few weeks tell after 2.00 release, as a good start for the continuation the tournament. Then had the complaints about a fords not working, also difficult movement in woods etc. Fixed all in the of the map now in 2.00... that is the fords, tracks through woods (these appear to be effect by the tiles the tracks are built on or next too as well... can confuse armour and slow down movement more than the older game.) Changes are working fine now.
  24. Tanks can cross shallow fords, not deep water fords. The issue here is "some games" built prior to version 2.00 (not sure about version 1.11) where the fords worked before, will not carry armour in version 2.00. Looks like this is due to the tiles next to roads or tracks and effects how the armours behaviour. Good example is the ford in the woods next to the central bridge in Huzzar Redux... where the armour and half-tracks did cross but now cannot. In addition if you play a scenario where tanks were expected to be able to cross, by the scenario builder it may unbalance the scenario when this is no longer the case. Not to mention how many players, will know which fords he is expected or not to cross. In some cases the "green arrow" still shows a permitted path, for armour...
