Currently building some "real time" verses AI scenarios... one problem with the AI I am experencing in game play, is that it often faces armour the wrong way to what you intended, during its planned moves as a defender. Wondered whether this may a nice inclusion for future engines to include a face command on the "AI" boxs, perhaps this has been requested before, or is there a way round it I have overlooked?

First plan... only. Game as follows: Beaches secured. Brits begin to move inland. Moving inland, you are under constant fire! Your objectives are to secure the church (25 points), and crossroads (25 points). The bridge would be a small added bonus (12 points). We need to ensure the beach track is cleared and free for movement. Your force consists of: 8th Troop's sections 1 to 4, with halftracks. A white's scout car, light mortar. 2nd Platoons 3rd & 4th pioneers, with transport. Humber IV,Churchill XLT,Churchill Crocodile,Sherman Crab The French resistance advises that part of the area is mined. Check out the map (Alt L). The only information we have is a report of a small (?) enemy force, that may have some armour support. On Map ...Scout Car, Scouts, Humber IV,Jeep, 3rd section (poineers). 5 minutes into the game: 8ths Troops Sections 1,2,4 ,light mortar,Churchill XLT,Sherman crab 10 minutes into the game:4th section 2 platoons Pioneers,Churchill crocodile 20 minutes into game:3rd section 8 troop The sherman crab will assist you to clear the mines, however it is advisable to locate the mines with pioneers first. The Sherman Crab must be protected they are in short supply, if destroyed the Germans gain 50 points. Anybody, wants to give it a try? Please post below or contact me. Thanks

Hi Umlaut Think you help test out one of mine a year or so ago, ... for a tournament at BoBs. Here is a suggestion for you. Why not join a club... band of brothers... Few Good Men... Blitz. Setup your own tournament, and your have about 20-30 guys battling your scenarios. You get some feed back... not as much as you deserve, but a least it is good to know people are playing your scenarios. Think any of the clubs would welcome your imput... Your be welcomed at the Band of Brothers... but I guess that would go for the other clubs as well! Something to think on.....

Ability to change/remove PBEM passwords

Easier to pick a password, that you are prepared to give to your opponent & others when the game is completed. -
Currently, the best of CM gaming is yet to come... the problem for scenario makers, and for some modders are the changes in the game fronts maybe to rapid? By that, I mean the number of players per each module, and the different engines out there may be reducing the amount of players playing the scenarios. With all these game and engine versions out there, how many scenarios are just downloaded and yet or never going to be played. I am retired, and I have not had the time to play that many scenarios... In-addition playing a scenario, now takes considerably longer than those CMx1 days. Players, after a month or two do not feel the need to search out the original post to add their comments, which also these maybe difficult to find. I also enjoy building scenarios... , but by the time your completed one ... a new module is already out there. Interest has moved on...to another front. Think it is good news that Black Sea is taking the limelight as it will give the WW2 players, and scenario builders time to catch up! Please note this is not a criticism, looking forward to playing the bulge, Barbarossa, and the desert... just thoughts as why players do not leave their comments. Perhaps, in future, if you as a player of a scenario want to leave a comment the place to do so should be on this forum... because how many players want to go back to the repository and search out a scenario...

Upgraded Activation Procedure
Nelson 1812 replied to Derfel 2nd's topic in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
It would be nice to have a Photo's thread how to download... Problems incurred... Chrome, AVG (tried to re-install CW), then believe files not downloaded into correct folder. (ended up on desktop... most likely due to chrome problem at the beginning.) but got there, in the end, I hope... playing first game today. -
Thanks ... Have posted part 2 + 3 below, as they have different file names... sorry about that... first time I ran a series of videos. .........Part 2 ......Part 3

ChrisND - CMBN scenario design question
Nelson 1812 replied to Badger73's topic in CM Normandy Maps and Mods
So designers who have built scenarios in 1.01... if updating, or rebuilding them would better to rename them with the engine version, when posting or re-posting them. Otherwise people downloading them may wonder why the scenarios are not playable. Would that be correct?
