Well, I salute you all. I may be critical at times about the lack of information, but I'm very impressed by what you guys have created and are going to create.
Thank you, Benpark, glad to hear that.  CMFB looked so much better after installing your winter tree mod.

We all do a little something on every title, I would venture- the amount done depending on availability and interests. I have been organizing this module for Steve and Charles, and getting lots of help from Cassio, Mikey D, and others that will be doing scenario and QB work (Mark Ezra!). I'll be doing the general organization, master maps, campaigns and some scenarios. And some other misc. art stuff. By the time release nears, most people that test are eyes on it. Scenarios and campaigns need extensive testing, etc.
Takes a bit of time, this stuff!
I will upload my winter tree mods if they don't go into the module after it is released.

Hold your applause. Please turn your attention to today's date. Now, please turn your attention to all the new Steve threads. Now, please turn your attention to the dates of the quotes I posted above. Now, please re-return your attention to all the new Steve threads and note their dates (there will be a quiz later). Now, please turn your attention to what I am saying right now. Oops! Hold on a sec..Hey, you in the back, put your pants on and sit down, this is a family friendly forum (can't take Kettler anywhere. Oh wait, that was Bil Hardenberger...jeez he seems so refined when he's analyzing tactics). Ok. So, anyway, please re-return your attention to what I am saying right now. Ready? Yeah, THAT'S right!  I Mord, modder extraordinaire, King of the Portraits and all around badass, called that s***! NAAAAAILED IT! BULLSEYE! Hole in one!

It's good to be the king.

    That is all.

    Mord.

    P.S. You may applaud now.

Yeah it's better to take a deep breath and move on before it escalates to that.

You can just block people who annoy you. It's very easy.
I haven't blocked that many though, even though they may be annoying, rude etc. I like to hear other viewpoints. If I see something that is overly negative, I just shrug and move on. No reason to take it personally.

    CMFB Campaign: Fields of Tears
Fields of Tears is a interactive CMFB Campaign that picks up where my CMBN Campaign: In the Fields Where the Poppies Grow leaves off and follows the actions of Captain Charles Stevens and A Company, 31st Tank Battalion, 7th Armored Division, around St. Vith, Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
It requires the latest version of CMFB and all immersion mods needed are in the download. They are tagged to this campaign only.
It is playable from the Blue Side only.
The campaign is a story driven campaign like "Poppies" where you must keep Stevens and other important personnel alive and still complete the mission objectives to advance in the campaign. The storyline is in the Designer Notes for each mission.
The campaign begins with a mission in Germany and then continues after the Germans launch their Ardennes offensive Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein. Elements of the 7th Armored Division, the 31st Tank Battalion, including Captain Stevens and A Company are sent to the St. Vith area where they are to make contact and destroy the enemy forces advancing on the town.
The campaign is based loosely on historical facts.

    Campaign Tree:
    1. Antons Bridge ( Allied Attack)
    2. First Contact (Meeting Engagement)
    3. Holding the Line (Axis Attack)
    4. Something Wicked This Way Comes (Allied Probe)
    5. Counterattack at Hunnigen (Allied Attack)
    6. The II SS Panzer Corps Strikes (Axis Attack)
    Maps:
The first battle, Antons Bridge, is an original map by me.
The other maps in the campaign are from the excellent master maps that came with the game. I reworked them extensively to achieve the immersion I was after for the campaign.
Mods: (All credit goes to the authors of the mods)
US and German Snowy Uniforms and Gear by Ithikial.
    King Tiger Mod by PzPJ
American Sherman Pack and Gear by Aris
    Snowy US Vehicles by Umlaut
Mords US Portraits by Mord (modified by me with the unit insignias used in the campaign.)
Various winter fortifications from the Winter Mod by the Winter Mod Team
Assorted damaged vehicle textures by me
Special Note: I used Worghern Blitzkrieg Environment : CMFB 2.0 while designing the campaign which is not included in the download. I highly recommend adding this as the campaign was designed and modified using these textures as well as the Winter Mod for CMFB which will work seamlessly with Worgherns mod.. While it can be played without these I highly recommend using them as the tags in the campaign will pick them up.
Here is the link to download Worghern Blitzkrieg Environment : CMFB. http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3984
Here is the link to download Kohlenklau’s Winter Mod for Final Blitzkrieg. http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=3991&
Also Umlauts Snowy German Vehicle mods are not included but highly recommended.
Once again to follow the storyline read the Designers Notes.
I hope it proves to be enjoyable.

Or perhaps Steve is just a good bussinessman who isn't too proud or too stubborn to give his customers what they are asking for. Within reason. Sounds a lot better and less hostile, don't you think?
Steve himself admits it's a much, much, much needed update. You just don't know when to quit IanL. And you do keep dwelling on past booboos.  No offense, but really...

If you guys think asking about an overdue patch is whining you haven't seen anything in the gaming industry lol. This is one of the tamest "hey guys wheres the patch" threads I've ever seen, yeah there's a few silly people but the majority of people asking for an update are being completely reasonable.

I have noticed it for tanks in general, not just the Panther. I don't feel it is particularly unrealistic. Any penetration of the gun mantlet is likely to damage something important.

You're a better man than I am. I'm so much longing for the CMRT module that it almost physically hurts. But that's the last one that will be released.
I'm hoping to play winter battles next winter, but we will see.
