All I wanted to say before I was shot on the wall, was that the fears of Russia reaching the Atlantic with the current scale and intentions of this war, have no actual base in reality or history.

Well then, it looks like you completely misread @panzermartin’s statement. Historically, Russia didn’t attack West unless they were attacked from the west. E.g. The Teutonic Knights, Napoleon, Germany in WWI, because Russia was part of the Triple Entant Alliance even though the Kaiser and the Tsar were cousins, British and American Expeditionary Force at Archangel after WWI during the Revolution, and Germany again after Hitler reneged on the Non-aggression treaty used to divide Poland. Looks to me like Russia had much more to fear from the West than the West had to fear from Russia.

Not sure about East or West Prussia, but Poland and Russia (Eastern Europe) were pretty much constantly fighting each other, and the Karelian Peninsula was originally a Russian Grand Duchy after Sweden ceded it to Russia after a Swedish war of aggression against Russia (Finland at that time was part of Sweden). I think @panzermartin is still “basically” correct in a historical sense.

Please read again my post. "Went deeper in Western Europe". That's quite different than a war on their western border. 
But the truth is Berlin and Paris saw russian soldiers in their streets only after Germans and French tried to march in Moscow.

History holds no guarantees for the future, so I wouldn't bet money on that part. It's really more that I can't see how, even if they wanted to.
 

The two of you have two narratives -
The Russians are savages who will stop at nothing to destroy Ukraine.
And
The West is sitting around and do nothing while the first one happens, and will continue to do so no matter what.
So if these are true…why hasn’t Russia simply used nuclear/chemical/whatever since day 1?  Why is this war even still happening?  Is Ukrainian resolve and resistance an effective deterrence to strategic nuclear strikes?  
If the West is so useless and, clearly ready to let Russia do whatever it wants (and you can come read justifications of this right here on this thread)…why do we even still have this thread?  Russias are genocidal savages who are being deterred from escalation…by what exactly?  Because we certainly know it is not the bumbling western powers.
Of course if this is the case then why are we spending billions to assist Ukraine?  Symbolism? Boredom?

What is it gonna take for the West to directly intervene in this war?  You do not want to know.  And frankly this thread won’t matter if that happens because a lot of us will already be dead.

Gerrymandering, unclear votingrules, strong unindependant media, decreasing the amount of voting stations in the areas of the city where your party isnt favourable, winner takes the state.

It limped back to base. At first RU claimed it was hit by friendly drop tank but later admitted it was work of enemy AA.

The whole thread is worth your time. We need to push stuff to Ukraine fast enough to stay ahead of the curve. The fact that there are not F-16s making Ka-52s too scared to come within 50 miles of the front line is exhibit A. Not equipping the stuff we sent with APS is example B.
