  1. I thinking about a cast iron rolling pin, about 20 feet in diameter. I'm still in the design phase on that ....
  2. I was wondering if they retreated a little to easily, not that I blame them. Not exactly a modern day charge of the light brigade.
  3. As devastating as the Hamas attack was, now imagine if they could produce thousands of these types of drones! Definitely a "destabilizing" type of weapon for the world.
  4. Even if 1 in a 100 shells blew up in their faces I still think the Russian high command would deem that an acceptable loss ratio. Human lives are as cheap as a shot of vodka to them.
  5. To me this might be a test to see how many reserves Russia still has left. I don't know how many men they need to get across before it becomes more than a nuisance but at some point it will become a major problem.
  6. To lose 9 helicopters in one night? I hope they were all parked real close together ... it would make it more satisfying. So now the US leadership is worried about a Russian fall offensive? We should be thankful for it and that it works as well as their Bakmut one last winter. Although I do worry about Ukraine losing the initiative, and of course Jim Jordan becoming speaker of the house.
  7. I was kinda hoping for a big explosion at the end, oh well .... I overestimated their abilities I guess.
  8. I never liked McCarthy that much. On Jan 6th he's railing against Trump then two weeks later he's down in Mar-a-Lago kissing butt? That's not exactly leadership. Yet if Jim Jordan becomes the new speaker then McCarthy might look a lot better. I just wish the Gaetz pro Putin republicans would get marginalized. The rest of the republicans should work with the democrats to find somebody tolerable. I just think we come out of this with a worse speaker than before....sad
  9. 13,000 Ukrainians massing for a crossing of the Dnipro? That supposedly is what Rybar reported. Did anybody else hear of anything like that? Not sure if I believe it but that sure would be an attention getter. Maybe I've watched A Bridge Too Far's river assault at Nijmegan too many times, but I keep wondering what the end game is for what's been happening across from Kherson. You'd figure the Russians have pulled out some forces there to shore up their lines up north.
  10. How is anyone supposed to sleep anywhere near the front lines? Almost seems unfair ... oh well ... they could always go home if they don't like it.
  11. Seems like the Ukrainians have preserved their Leo's by keeping them back and using them to snipe at positions. I wonder if that's the future of the tank? Just use them like a well armored self propelled gun of sorts. I guess the game changes when a major break thru occurs.
  12. When you see those cluster munitions go off in a big circle like that it seems to me that it's dispersal is too big, but then I figure I'd be full of holes if were standing in the middle of that circle. Hard to tell though. Probably need to ask some Russians.
  13. How about a lengthy IRS audit? The only thing I could think of for Musk. Unfortunately he's turning into Dr. Evil.
  14. I'm going to assume this offensive falls short for this season. What I worry about is can Russia then rebuild another defensive line that is as strong as the one they built last winter? They must've laid hundreds of thousands of mines, and used all kinds of materials and men to build trenches, dragons teeth, etc. Their supplies can't be unlimited. Now if they only have to build new lines around the "dents" in their original lines then it's far more feasible.
  15. Oh but Putin will still have his food, prepared by a different chef of course.
